I just got on Spark 2 weeks ago. I have seen a TOTAL of 1 order worth doing. A 2 mile return for $10. Yeah customer didnt have the package ready so i ended up getting $2.50 for 10 mins of my time. TRASH. EVERYTHING i have seen is TRASH. STRAIGHT 100% TRASH like $35 for 12 deliveries 39 miles. TRASH. Spark is TRASH in my market. Im rather pissed i waited so long to get on Spark and so far its been a total waste of time.

Orders drop at a certain time. Anywhere from :22 to :35 after the hour. You have to be in the Walmart parking lot when they drop to get the good ones

You can play the PC game and bury your head in the sand all you want. It's pretty easy to tell who the illegal immigrants are when not only do they not speak a lick of English, but the Walmart workers themselves tell us that they use multiple different names when they do pickups. They constantly screw up orders because they can't read the delivery instructions (which threatens to drive away the customer base), but it doesn't even matter because when they get deactivated they just come right back with a different account name. And this info comes directly from the Walmart workers. It's not some crazy conspiracy theory. They operate as large rings with ring leaders so when they decide to come hover at a store in large groups, you're damn right it affects the amount of orders us legitimate drivers can get. If you're cool with CRIMINALS taking money out of your pocket and affecting your livelihood and want to pretend like it's not happening, maybe you watch too much CNN.

I’m a spark driver, all I gotta say is until it hits your market, you will not be very knowledgeable…. To say that these guys with 2-3 phones and not using real accounts shouldn’t be messing with your money and you should multi-app blah blah, that’s all garbage. We wouldn’t have to multi app if this issue wasn’t in our markets… it’s not about pointing fingers it’s about facts… if your eating off my plate and you ain’t paying, we got a problem.

Most definitely is!!! It is terrible in Portage, IN. Walmart is well aware of the issue. Double, triple, quadruple phones. All piling in one car. They are not able to work for 180 days. I've contacted our senator here in IN. Only 3 senators are trying to protect the apps. They have stolen accounts. They have infiltrated all the apps in our area. I'm still down 60% in income a wk. I've talked about this with you Pedro on a Sunday livestream.

I’ve seen it first hand with multiple drivers in my area. So yes I multi app, but spark was my main app and paid the best so it hurts

If the number of illegal immigrants using the app does not affect you then you have to stop saying the word oversaturation. Because if the number of people using the app doesn't matter then oversaturation is not a legitimate problem. If you think oversaturation is a problem then you have to believe illegal immigrants using the apps is a problem. And it does affect you. You can't have it both ways.

The migrants are also doing Amazon flex. When we did a 6:15 pick up one day last week and ther we're about 15 cars at the time. Almost half were migrants and they were congregating and having a grand fun party time and chattering away while we were supposed to be loading our vehicles with boxes. They held everyone else up because of their socializing. And if one of the Amazon warehouse bosses speaks the same language as th migrants, they give them the easy blocks.

I have a problem with anyone who comes here illegally and takes jobs from people who need them. The elderly who can’t afford rent and can’t work due to old age or the single mother who needs to work because without the extra income they just simply can’t make it. All the platforms are over saturated and on a standby list only in our area. Come here legally no problem, but illegally when America has its own problems definitely doesn’t need to be handing out money to everyone in the world.

I am not doing doordash, or any of the other platforms as a driver anymore. I am now on the platform running a business. And i do check IDs and make sure the driver is the one who has the order. And i do make sure the driver hits the order has been picked up. And i have turned in 3 fraudulent drivers. Glad ya aint in my area.

Fully understand where his heads at. Which is a very good place. As far as spark goes when they started checking I D at pick up a lot of drivers all of a sudden are MIA. My only issue with it was the loss of good customers due to deliveries not making it to their destination.

I see it all over my area. The license plates are expired, out of state plates, no English. I even had a couple with a baby in the back seat deliver to me. They did not speak English, they did not read the instructions. But, my heart felt for this young couple. I couldn't help but give an extra cash tip. She was so thankful.

I’ve seen people doing Uber Eats and Doordash who don’t speak English…. I’m in La, Lot of people from Mexico are coming over here…

Here’s another legitimate point, a lot of people crossing the border will be receiving work permits, I believe it’s a 6 month wait. So, there will be a massive influx anyway. I am planning other work now and trying to move gig work to truly gig work. It’s coming if not already here in many places.

Like I said in the last community post, my only issue is people who have their non service dogs in the car with the orders. And yes I can tell they aren't service dogs because there is no vest, they are left in the car, and they bark at you when you are just trying to get in and out of your car

I do Spark as well as some other apps. I’m not aware of any illegal immigrants running the apps in my area but have heard some tales of people in neighboring markets having them. But the companies are the ones that ultimately enable it. They come to America because of opportunities, and companies like Walmart and DoorDash are giving them those opportunities. So your anger should be directed to those companies not them, cuz do you think you’re so moral that you would not break the law if it could provide for you and your family?

In SoCal, very flooded with fake migrant accounts. I talk to some this morning and helped another guy who couldn’t understand what to do. Some are not fleeing war etc., doing fine just want to work under the table some are. It’s not the same on the Gig Apps here, looking to establish other work and have this as a true side gig. It’s going to get worse, business is slashed in 1/2 at least already. Diversify people and vote how you would like things to be. Best e.

I count 8 of 10 illegal immigrants doing delivery when I show up for a pick up. No one speaks English. LA is my market.

The not your account people and the immigrants ARE a problem. It’s not about earnings and them trying to work. I have talked to customers and some say it’s a safety issue and I’ve also been told it’s because they don’t follow the instructions or they just deliver to the wrong address all together. So I get their end. They trust a proper background check is done on us so they are a little at ease but not so much now. And the people who aren’t following the instructions and delivering to the wrong address probably can’t read English very well. I always say every one of them I ran into have been super kind but I do get why they feel this way.

It still needs to be addressed by the platforms. These platforms are responsible and they need to clean up the mess. If you are legal to work here, then you are legal to get on the platform. As for blaming illlegals for me, not making money. No I will not blame illegals for that. I will blame the platforms. Gig apps are allowing illegals to be on the platform.

I quit gig work specifically due to oversaturation, and immigration is definitely a variable in that, that’s also factual, not opinion. It’s not their fault, I respect the hustle from anyone. I will say, I think it’s unfair to be using other people’s accounts like some of the creators, and for these guys doing fraudulent activity. Working these apps to make money is one thing, but doing it dishonestly which puts others at a disadvantage is not okay. It’s basic ethics, but it seems like nobody is bothered by the clear “TOS violations” which apparently don’t exist anymore and the entire nation is now free to dash with multiple phones and accounts. I mean really, imagine we all wake up tomorrow and decide to break the rules, that’s now how a society nor a gig economy develops.

Then please explain why one can be in the parking lot with a silent app but the same few Individuals are staying busy in and out the store throughout the day. I spoke to a few of them -- they said they come here and are giving a phone with an account and trade phones throughout the day. 😂😂 I’ll see orders non stop when it’s the weekend. They all have to be busy and still have left over orders for us to be busy. I don’t see this issue on any other app but spark. So if you’re not sparking, then it doesn’t apply.

They’re all driving the same make and model cars , I still get my money with no issues so as far as I’m concerned they’re not hurting my pocket.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion when it comes to things like this. As someone who does gig work full time, I disagree with some of his views but also agree with others. I think honestly, the over saturation has more to do with (don't flame me) gigtubers show boating all the banger orders, even if they are few and far between at times ... seeing all that money entices people. I can't blame them, it got me too. I mostly disagree with his view on using someone else's account, we had a guy in my market using 3-4 spark accounts (Probably family members ... or maybe the "cartel") on multiple phones and we worked with the store to get him banned on all of them. I'd go through the process again for anyone trying to cheat the system... if people are just minding their business, they get a head nod or even if some cases a fist bump but I don't think people should be abusing stuff and hurting the gig community more than the apps already do. Just my 2 cents.

Everyone is just trying to make a living. It's Walmart's responsibility to crack down and verify accounts/drivers. YES, Walmart owns Spark. Regardless of what Walmart claims, Spark is their company. It's not a 3rd company app. They can change the rules if they want to. Verify accounts and check ID's. They just don't want to.

That's what I think most of the negative videos about the apps are our excuses. Legitimate concerns of course but I don't think that's the majority of the issue I think people just aren't working hard enough, and applying this right strategies.

I agree with you and trader. I am just not seeing the problem in my market. We have a ton of migrants here but they make way more money on farms and construction sites. They aren't rushing to food dilivery apps. I think you said it best that if someone who has only been here for a month can work the apps better than us then what does that say about us. I am confident in my knowledge of these apps and my market to out compeat newcomers no matter who they are.
