I was grocery shopping at Kroger yesterday. Looking for sale items and what I had coupons for, then this lady asked me if I would pay for her groceries. I just stood there for a minute because this has never happened inside the store to me. I told her I couldn’t and that I was on Social Security. I was scared to go outside of the Store because I wasn’t sure if someone would be waiting for me. I live alone and shop alone and I’m scared, I don’t trust anyone.

I don’t know why people are so worried about the interest rate for homes. It’s the price of the actual home. That is the actual problem. I don’t understand why that is so hard for people to understand. Yes the interest-rate does make a difference but it’s the price that makes the biggest difference.

I was shopping at Safeway grocery yesterday. Bought two pkgs of Bagels and was charged double the price! I called the manager after I noticed and he said that that dept were not familiar with the bakeries pricing and I asked then what was his excuse for their regular checkstands at the front of the store because they are who usually over charge me, he said he will have to remind them to check the price correctly! I rarely shop there because of constant overcharges!

I remember when interest rates were 18%. It was great! Our mortgage rate was 10.5%. However, most people could afford to buy a house. My 1500sf house is worth almost half a million dollars. That's ridiculous. It should be $300,000 max.

I hate self checkout, I hate online ordering. We've gotten spoiled with things being too convenient. As for the mortgage rates, I agree with you. I bought my first house at 10 1/2%, but as you said, prices were not inflated at the time. It's just nuts where I live what they are asking for properties.

It is getting worse and worse and worse and worse.Every day that's what I keep trying to tell people every single day!!!! That's why I love these people that constantly say.Oh it'll get worse before it gets better!!!! I'm just happy that I got my 2nd CD interest payment of $3,649.14 on April 19th, 2024. Doesn't it feel good when you get an interest payment from the bank instead of having to pay those SHARKS???!!! This is the reason that I'm praying that interest rates continue to go up up up up!!!!! This is very decent extra kibble!!!

Been doing 1 month bonds every month about 5.8-5.9%. Finally making interest. Savers no longer punished!

All I can say is LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION when it comes to real estate.

I love WalMart. I usually use self-checkout. I'm sure they have me recorded on camera. Walmart is convenient and they take my insurance card. Walmart does NOT have the lowest prices. My local Walmart has very little produce. You're exaggerating, they stock the shelves. They will NOT give me a job as "greeter". They already have a greeter.
