I just picked up the ONN 4K pro last week. The first one I picked up did not work no video at all. The second one worked as advertised and I am thoroughly impressed. Great picture, great sound and very responsive. I loaded up Kodi in order to get local TV from my network based TV tuner, and to have access to my local media. The ONN handles third party apps with none of the crap that the check makes you jump thru. ONN is the way to go

Getting mine all set up. Noticed no overscan like the Firetv. Some things a little off screen. Added surround and tv to power button. They both turn on together but not off together. Buggy? Needs more preference settings for surround sound. So far, I can easily see this replacing firestick.

I can't wait to get mine but the walmarts around my area they still don't have it. You are one of the lucky ones, glad you got one.

I've seen a few videos already and I sold. I just need for my walmart to have it in stock. One thing I saw the other day in another video on this was the host showing how if you have an isp connection of more than 100 Mbps, you can use a usb c 3.0 hub with an ethernet jack and connect via it and your content should come in at a higher rate than the 100 of this. Me, I've got a starlink gen 2 so the regular ethernet will work fine (as I already bought the starlink enet adapter for my home network connections). Thank you for your info.

The only con I see is the memory capacity. If it had a memory slot for a microsd.

Trying too find one no luck yet im keep looking weekly for it the storage of 32 gb has me wanted it for that alone reason for that price u wnt get that kinda of storage ever on budget device but this device only

Could you please check if the Onn Pro has Display Scaling. The 2023 version does not have it. Not a big deal you can go into your TV and change the scaling in there. It surprised me that no KZread content creator pointed out that the 2023 version did not have Display Scaling. Thanks for all the hard work you do

Bluetooth would be the easiest way. There is no audio output port.

One thing I hate about Google TV is ambient mode. Can't set custom screensavers. Andriodtv doesn't have this limitation.

Worked great, until it didn't. One month and a day mine stopped working completely. No power. Tried the remote finder, pressed the reset button, unplugged on and off several times and nothing. I even moved it to another TV and nothing. I still have another one and we will see how long it lasts. Walmart products aren't noted for their quality. Ordered a new Fire TV stick 4k Max on sale for $39.99 right now.

I never understood why Google TVs don't have a browser ? And it seems like this one doesn't either ? I like to be able to search on the Internet for live streams ...

Have you tried "Downloader" or "TVBro"? I believe they are both in the Google Play store and work well. Unfortunately, Google Chrome and Silk are not.

Just bought the G7max and very pleased with it. Great specs. UK availability of the Onn box not so good. Pity as I'd like to try it. Looks a good box. Stick with my Nvidia tube and G7 meanwhile.

Yes, but like with any streaming device, you'll need significant download speed for reliable stream.

Thanks for sharing. I address some of those things in my latest video on the device. I think the backlit remote thing was on some early release models, and the one they will settle on is the standard one without the big blue button and backlighting, but that's just my opinion.

Plugged mine in and won't come on. Jus says no signal. Any suggestions

It is not on Amazon yet, but I think it will be eventually from some Amazon reseller at some point. That said, I hate to say it, but regardless of where you eventually buy it, it originated at Walmart, so they'll get the same 'support' either way. 🤷‍♂️

Finally appears on the Wal-Mart website but completely out of stock in store and on site. It's important to note: Amazon has not said that they are moving away from Android on it's fire devices, most of the noise has come from people making the assumption, based upon potential job openings which have appeared. I will be looking to pick up an ONN device but I still really like my fire devices as well. One area where Amazon, Roku and Apple crush Android boxes is in the updates department. I've never owned an Android box which received more than a couple updates over my time of ownership. I hope these ONN devices prove to be different.

I don't worry about 3rd party apps being deleted as Firestick has done. Google play store crushes Amazon. I have no problems sideloading. Firestick acts like we rent their product. F. Them. I got rid of the firestick 2 months ago. I got 4 of the Onn4k from Walmart. Firestick cannot touch them when it comes to price.

Amazon blocks too much and you can’t make it your own. They recently blocked ADB which prompted my to throw mine in the garbage. I use only android now and love the freedom

@@tombanigan2138 I’m running with the latest version of Fire OS and ADB is working fine. I’ve tried many different android boxes. My biggest problem with them is that they’re typically not supported with software updates for very long, an aspect where the likes of Roku, Apple and Amazon still maintain an advantage. I fully understand your preference and perspective but for me, freedom isn’t worth the risks associated with potential malware. I’d sooner invest in a device with longevity and long term software support, over one which offers freedom, with few, if any quality of life enhancements, over the course of ownership. Just my thoughts.

I bought one it's a sweet box but it's 50 dollars and I can get a 4k firestick cheaper it was just as easy to load just like the firestick and love I don't have to sign in to Amazon but I'm still playing with it the ONN so far is better then the firestick and love the remote finder that's awesome they need to put in a micro SD slot to add more storage like the android phones but other then that and drop the price to 39.99 so it's the same as firestick 4k they would sell more then the firestick but nice little box
