Everyone experiences different things. I've heard from other drivers that have been here a long time, that it was better back in the day then it is now. When you're pampered a lot and they start taking away some perks it sucks. However, compared to other companies in today's industry, Walmart takes care of the drivers. In my opinion!!

The backing is challenging but doable. Not knowing your experience, but mine was mostly day cab and I was able to get it with the sleeper tractor. As far as auto only, it really depends on what DC you're going. My location is all automatics and I was not allowed to drive a manual during on-boarding because of it.

Kevin - you watched a older video. Yes, we were always allowed to use a hands free method to talk on phone while driving. Old phone policy was, "While on Drive Line" - we couldn't talk more then 60 mins a day and no single call could last over 10 mins at a time. THAT POLICY has since been changed. We now have unlimited hands free talk time now, unless in school zones, construction zones or at times of extremely high traffic. Obviously those are times that you need to pay closer attention to your driving conditions. Hope that answers your question.
