Love the wild vibe and enjoy the old boat he's fishing out of it's a piece of History and handmade working art. My uncle Charlie taught me to tie flies when I was 8 years old. We used them on Walleye White Bass Perch Crappie & 3 TYPES OF TROUT

I’d say a 5-6 wt is a good weight to catch those thing.

Ahh walleye, my favorite fish :o) I haven't fly fished for them yet but when tossing bucktail jigs I use the same tactics, stucture and seasonal locations just like you showed. Question : did Bill use a tippet of same lb test as his leader? Thanks guys, awesome video!

Thanks for kind words Joe. You don't need to use a tapered leader for walleye, just a straight piece of 8-10lb mono.

@@newflyfisher Thanks for the reply. I realize he used a straight leader. I just wondered if he used a tlppet so the leader wouldn't be shortened every time he retied to change flies or remove nicked mono. BTW - I second the request for a wading walleye video. Thanks again :o)

This was great thanks, can't wait to catch my first one on fly. I love eating them, such beautiful flaky tasty flesh.

You don't have to go to Canada to catch nice walleye next time you want to do a walleye show call, Tom Boley, near Haward WI. That nice young man needs better equipment his net would not fit a nice fish that and an old wooden tub with 20-year-old electronics does not help.

Very slow and little info interspersed with wasted time.
