    You can add a 3 way swivel up a few feet from your crank, when the floating weeds run down your line they will catch on the 3 way and not all the way down to your crank!

    Drag setting can be very important when trolling lures or plugs!! On longer medium action rods, you can go a little tighter, because the rod will absorb most of the initial strike!! Heavy action rods , too tight, and the hook can pull out !! Always check ✔️ and adjust! lol 😂😆

  • @thelonesomefisherman7425
    @thelonesomefisherman742510 ай бұрын

    A suggestion, Clayton: You have great boat control with your Garmin but you have so much line out behind the boat that the lure cuts the corners and doesn't always track the boat path which leads to a loss of control over your lure. Three ways compensate are, use a deeper running lure, smaller diameter line, or add weight. You want the least amount of line out and still get the lure to the correct depth. Hope this helps.

    Thank you again for a great video Clayton! I'll try to keep this short. Is the 63" shaft plenty of length for your boat even if fishing bigger waves? I wanted the Force but with the way they twist the cord around the top and how they built it the usable shaft length from gunnel to water surface was only like 43" for the 57". I have a Crestliner Raptor and fish everything from small lakes to the great lakes. I will fish in big waves. I was so happy they came out with the Kraken, I almost bought the new minn-kota but now I'm waiting. I'll definitely need the 75" but for the Kraken did they share the actual usable shaft length from gunnel to water surface with you for the 63" and 75"? I'm sure it's enough, I'm just curious. I'm sorry this was so long.

    140' of line should put you at the 25 foot of depth! Why aren't you adding a 2 ounce weight at 50' with a total line of 67' out attached to a board? That would also put you at 25' depth. That'd be 73' less line out! Efficiency? That's what I do on Lake Erie when I fish the 30fow. You'd have to put a planner board on of your choosing, but the turn around time to getting the lure back in on fish is a lot quicker
