Hello! I love to ride a bike, sometimes I go out twice a day in good weather. A leisurely bike ride along the road calms you down and allows you to enjoy a small, but journey. I live on the bank of a big river and my summer morning almost always starts with a cup of coffee and a bun on a swing on the beach. What could be better... And it can be better when your bike is a work of design art and you want to admire it constantly!) My bike is one of these. Today I will solve the problem of storing a bicycle (it is not small for me) I will make a shelf so that it would be possible to fix the bike on the wall, so it will take up less space and will please the eye. The goal is good - we are getting started. The frame of the bike is not smooth and most of the ready-made or common solutions will not suit me, besides, it also has a steering wheel with a large swing, you will have to mount the frame at a greater distance from the wall. I start developing the shelf in a Sketchup, I think. I instill a good habit in myself, you can immediately see the finished result, estimate the loads, rewrite the dimensions or make an explosion diagram, and in general upload the project to your phone to watch it at any time. By the way - as always, I will share the project with you. The project is ready and I choose the plywood material for it, this is the most suitable material for such projects, and it is strong and moderately cute) Since I already have the dimensions - I quickly file the plywood into the necessary parts, sometimes checking everything in a Sketchup. When the parts are all ready, I connect them with self-tapping screws and carpentry glue. It would be possible to come up with a hidden connection, but I decided today to follow a simple path, and cover the caps of the screws with putty. I decided to cover it with a colorless acrylic varnish. I decided to make a French bar for mounting on the wall, it is simple and reliable, inconspicuous and universal. I attach the opposite part of the shelf to the wall and hang my bike. Now he is always in front of my eyes when I work in the workshop, and constantly seduces me with another bike ride.
