Game so old and so good that deserves a comeback on all platforms
The Captain: Wall•E! Gopher stole my plant! Why? We’re already on Earth so there’s no point in taking it. And even if he did why do you care? There is clearly already grass meaning plant life is not far behind so you can just grow another.

I think the captain became quite fond of that plant, it's literally the reason they came back, so I guess that's why he's worried about GO-4 taking it, and it's not clear why GO-4 steals the plant, since they are on Earth, it won't be of any use, but... I guess it's in his programming.
