Would make for an interesting Docu-fiction. Similar to the Dragons documentary from over 10 years ago. Plus, with the director of King of the Monsters commenting that he wanted to do a film that put's Godzilla in his more primordial environment, a miniseries done in documentary fashion may be the best way to realize such a project.

@@rickybay1040 That depends on how many Ghidorahs there actually are. Only one crashed onto Earth, and has clashed with Godzilla and Mothra many times until he became trapped in the Antarctic. I'd say Ghidorah came after the extinction of the dinosaurs, because humans would have no way of knowing where he came from if he arrived before humans ever existed

The problem was the fact that the majority of the movie sticks with those humans. Even during the monster action we follow them and just see the monsters as background fodder. The movie focuses on the humans way to much and never bothers to make them interesting. Its actively worse than the human element in 2014. So if the film so desperately wanted to focus on the humans then yes... they need development

@dinox 131 you can tell a better story without a true protagonist and the stupid sentimental garbage Hollywood loves. Shing Godzilla heavily features humans but it never has exotic terrorists with no motivation. It never makes them action heroes in the film. It uses them just the right amount. And it keeps the drama all relatable. Meanwhile in king of the monsters we have a bloated cast with arcs that go no where or just never happen. They are all worked into the plot as action heroes like when murder mom drives a fucking car from king gidorah. I mean come on that is a scene ripped straight out of the first American godzilla. The problem isnt that the movie has humans. the problem is that the movie does not justify their existence in any meaningful way
