Yea I actually used to have a toy troodon from this movie, that would emit the sound effect by pressing a button on its back. Unfortunate I lost it though D:

This is what we should've gotten. No annoying talking dinos, no poop jokes, just a Primal or Rite Of Spring style deal with the Walking With Dinosaurs movie, or hell, even better, bring Kenneth Branagh back to narrate it like with the OG.

This is what the Walking with Dinosaurs movie should have been like. No voice. Just nature (even though there is the occasional human-acting animals). Not to disrespect the the celebrities who did the voice overs (like the guy who voiced Sid and Alex) but they sometimes got annoying like when Pachi called the Chirostenotes 'Chirosten-nachos' because he couldn't pronounce the name of the caengnathids.

though with the more "realistic" feel of the unvoiced cut the "sees epiphany of girlfriend at the verge of death" scene kind of feels out of place 😂

I personally think you’re right, but also that the only voice actor or human we needed was a narrator, and it really should’ve been Kenneth Branagh, I will be honest, the idea of having Alex be the narrator was cool, and he was very funny too personally, but it just doesn’t top it off as perfectly as the narrator of the original documentaries

This scene becomes legitimately dramatic when you remove the ear bleeding voice acting

Wanna know something? Fox made the movie have voices because they thought “dinosaurs were for kids”, and The company that made the movie actually went bankrupt because of fox.

I like how without the corny vocals it just becomes a slightly personified story of an animal traveling through life and trying to reproduce and pass on his genes. I need to get the Deluxe Blue Ray so I can watch this lmao

It’s way better and more emotional without the obnoxious voices over the top

When there is zero dialogue, this scene can be dark and emotional at the same time. You can hear the terrfying sounds from The Troodons and Quetzalcoatlus, and the emotional soundtrack when Patchi frees himself and tries to get back to the hurt. Man what a wasted potential this movie had.

"SIR! I HAVE THE BEST IDEA FOR A MOVIE." "Ok Watson, go ahead." "What if we made a film, with high grade CGI...like legit, realistic, beautiful animation...of..wait for it....DINOSAURS. Scientifically accurate feathered God damn DINOSAURS." ".....mehh, I don't know Watson." "Ok, but what if they talk? And we have a bunch of 5 year olds write the script.." "YOU'RE A FUCKING GENIUS WATSON!!" ***Rotten Tomatoes*** 23% rating. "You're fired Watson." "....yeah. Thats fair. " Watson was found dead later that same evening.

I definitely prefer this version,I just love hearing the sounds of the Troodonts & "pterosaurs",also this was just a very good video. Also I wish y'all a very good day.

So pleasing to the eyes and ears to just listen to the music and nature and watch this beautiful models and enviroment without that annoying voice dub being used over and over.

I didn't mind the voiceovers tbh but this is just sooooo much better ngl

Wow, those azhdarchids have such tiny heads relative to their bodies! Who would've thought that one day, Jurassic World: Dominion would have more accurately proportioned azhdarchids than Walking with Dinosaurs 3D?

It's been explicitly stated (can't remember where) that the WWD 3D azhdarchids were intentionally given smaller heads cause they didn't think that the audience would believe them if their heads were accurately larger than their bodies. This is clearly evident in this clip. Even if the Dominion Quetzalcoatlus are inaccurate in other ways, they at least have heads that are accurately larger than their heads, assuming that larger azhdarchids isometrically follow Quetzalcoatlus sp. proportions.

@@Sounder1995 Yes, David Krentz confirmed this on the DML. The original azdarchid design of WWD3D had an accurately scaled head-to-body ratio, but studio execs thought they looked too "goofy" (while dinosaurs making wisecracks and toilet jokes somehow isn't too "goofy"...)

Gooooood. I would've preferred this 10 times more as a kid even. I was never a big fan of realistic dinos that were 'kiddy'.

This is a TRUE WWD film-just let the music and the sounds do the work

At least this was better than the movie we got....but Fox changed it at the last minute, and said, "Hey, let's add in dialogue, put in some jokes and ad-libs, and have John Leguizamo (Bruno from Encanto) be in this movie. We need this movie to be the next Ice Age!"

Honestly I love this version a lot more,it's just so intense and very good. Also hope y'all had a great day.

This and the crab scene is why I don't think the dubbed version is suitable for ANYBODY. Even if I was young enough to not find the voices annoying, the part where Juniper has crabs crawling all over her while she can't move because of an injured leg would have given me nightmares. And even as an adult, the idea of being trapped and preyed upon by scavengers who will literally eat you alive freaks me out.

Notice how the azhdarchids in the film are always the same individuals? Originally there were three, but one got picked off by the Gorgosaurus and the other two are reoccurring background creatures. Kinda neat, right?

Mistakes I found in WMD 3D:Alex the alexornis was NOT post to be a crow he was supposed to be a sparrow after all alexornis was the size of a sparrow. Troodon might have been in the cretaceous period but the movie got troodon wrong! Plus troodon was supposed to be smaller plus the movie troodon was like a human size raptor and it would of been better if it was the Alaska troodon and smaller not… whatever that feather color look is…

How in the ever living *hell* did this film fuck up *so* badly from legit *1* error. It could've been so iconic and popular in the dinosaur community. It could've inspired so much more future documentaries. It has the story, the sequences, the cgi animation, the emotion, the development, it had... *everything.* But the fact *dialogue* was added, and the preformances were absolute *shit* was horrendous. You had freaking *John Leguizamo* in the movie. *JOHN LEGUIZAMO.* All of the emotion, wasted by dialogue. All of the badass moments, wasted by dialogue. Litterally *every* scene, *wasted by dialogue.* They had everything to make an amazing film, but somehow they de it as cringe as The Dino King: Journey to Fire Mountain. This movie... was a failure. A complete... failure.
