I grew up in N.J.! Great place in the summer! Only problem. Garden State Parkway. Traffic is really bad in the summer.

there used to be way too many pizza shops on the boardwalk and in town
sad to see it so dead. back 10 years ago during july 4th the boardwalk would be packed day and night. i also heard they are tearing down a lot of the old hotels and putting up condos
