Omišalj is a picturesque old town located on the Island of Krk, just next to the Krk Bridge (Krčki most) - which connects this largest of Croatian islands with the mainland. Rijeka International Airport (Zračna luka Rijeka) lies just next to Omišalj because Rijeka (the largest Croatian seaport) is situated only 25 km up the coast. Although located next to the international airport, Omišalj is a cozy and quiet old town with a historic center located on a cliff 85 meters above the sea level. As you can imagine (and see in the video) the views from the top are quite spectacular. Underneath the old town there are many beautiful beaches and bays which offer a plethora of seaside fun and enjoyment. A stroll from the old town to the coast can be quite enjoyable as it zig-zags through a lovely Mediterranean grove - which you can also see in the video since we start our walk in the old town, descend to the coast and finish by the nice little marina.
