Walking Tour of Jackfield, Shropshire (PART 1) in 4K 60fps (2024)
Hello all & welcome to our latest walking tour video on my new channel. In this first of a two part video tour, we'll be exploring the village of Jackfield.
Jackfield is a village in the borough of the town of Telford, and is one of 4 areas that make up the Ironbridge Gorge which also includes Coalport, Coalbrookdale and of course, Ironbridge.
The village of Jackfield is mostly known for its tile manufacturing. The Ironbridge Gorge area was very rich in raw, natural materials including clay. The two main tiling manufacturers that were established in the area were Maw & Co Benthall Works and Craven Dunnill & Co Ltd.
In today's video, we'll be starting our walk on Ferry Road and we'll be having a look at The Boat Inn, Jackfield & Coalport Memorial Bridge and the Maws Craft Centre.

Thanks Annalise! It's great to hear from you. 🙌 As soon as I saw the poor Mini, I immediately thought of you! 😂 Really pleased you enjoyed Part 1. Hopefully, you'll enjoy part as well 2 when it releases this Friday.
I can't read that fast, you walking around showing places most people don't know about, just a waste of time. I would love to know the history behind the bridge and old buildings, so I'll Google. You're no help!

I’m sorry that you didn’t find the walking tour video useful. And also that you feel that way. However, I would like to point out that if you can’t read the captions quickly enough, you can pause the video so you’re then able to read at your own pace. Also, I’m not sure what other bits of information you require, but I’ve been thorough about the buildings and the bridge. I’m new to creating these kinds of videos. I will take your thoughts into consideration for future videos. Sorry that I wasn’t able to satisfy your needs but I do appreciate you taking the time to write.
