Where are the rest of your videos? Why do you only have shorts for this challenge.

Does the organisation spend any money towards raising awareness or lobbying for basic income or does it all go to the people? I know it sounds kinda backwards to say but at this stage wouldn't it be more productive raising awareness etc? I might be missing something! Loving the videos and the walk btw keep it up!

nah 100% of the money raised goes directly to users, this walk is how we're raising awareness 💪🚶

If we all have a basic income so that we do not have to earn our living, why would anyone do any of the jobs that need doing, especially the horrible and dangerous jobs?

The idea is that everyone, including the rich, gets a certain amount so no one has to live homeless or below the poverty line. It's a cheaper scheme than welfare because you cut out all of the administration and bureaucracy. But all higher paying jobs etc for skilled or dangerous are still higher paying. It's not a limit on individual wealth but a guarantee of collective well-being. In the short term perhaps it will create a certain group of people who decide to not work. But in the end we all crave meaning and purpose, and our own desire for a good life will, in the long term, sort out all issues, because we are now given a chance to live with choice. We can choose to live simply on the UBI or go and create wealth for ourselves and others.

@@HNCS2006 So, the universal basic wage enables people to get given life's essentials such as basic housing, food and clothing for free. But who pays for the production of that basic housing, foods and clothing? Do the people who produce and supply those things have to work for free too? Or if those producers are paid wages, who is paying their wages and where does the money come from?

​​@@maxemerick8107 i could be completely wrong on this (and happy to be corrected) but I think businesses in aus get taxed a flat rate of 30% no matter what the business earns. whether its $10k or $10,000,000,000,000. So they don't go by the ranking system that normal wage earners go by, therefore they end up paying a whole lot less tax than if they had that same system and had to pay say 47%, and I think businesses can bring their tax down even further by doing the usual tax reduction stuff at tax time. Not sure if that answers it but thats what I think is wrong with the system

I like the project but just remember: everything the government gives to you, they took from someone else. Everyone should aim for financial freedom through reduction of consumerism and fiscal literacy, but I diverge at expecting other people to support me through their labor.
