Also Willow St. One story is that the wealthy Miss Middagh, annoyed by rich neighbors naming their streets, substituted generic fruits and trees. See: streeteasy.com/blog/brooklyn-heights-fruit-streets-named-cranberry-pineapple-orange. I rented a room there as a poor Bklyn Polytech student.

Great video with good commentary! I have been to NYC a number of times but have never seen any of these beautiful areas. The homes in Brooklyn are so charming and that promenade is so cool! I LOVED THIS VIDEO!
Have walked the same paths many times with my granddaughters, true children of Brooklyn. So many precious memories. Wife and I have also walked many paths walked by the narrator. A little concerned about prospects for the promenade. The playground by Pierrepont is loaded with memories for me.
this video just strenghtened my desire to live in the NYC... thank u for the opportunity to at least imagine being there! such a great job

I just wanted to take a moment to give you a heartfelt thanks and tell you that I truly enjoyed this video. I grew up in the Fort Greene area. I left New York in 2000 for good and everything has changed so much but I know the Brooklyn Heights , the Concord Village, Fulton Street area but I had never been down in dumbo even though I used to take the F train at York Street quite a bit and yes it is a fire hazard. It deserves to be recognized. Funny narrative at times. You do an excellent job....Thanks for sharing the City to the world.

Very nice video of Brooklyn Heights and DUMBO.. The Clock Tower Building at 1 Main Street was where i worked for 10 yrs before it became a condominium. The actor, Jim Carrey actually owns the penthouse clock tower apartment. The best neighborhood in all of Brooklyn is right there...Brooklyn and Columbia Heights...including DUMBO. Best to visit the promenade at just before sunset or after dark to see the lights of the city sparkle.; same can be said of walking along the Brooklyn Bridge ..Keep up with the nice videos.
