Walking Mechanism that Mimics the Human Gait
This is a model of a six bar linkage with a parallel cam-slider mechanism. The mechanism mimics the motion of a human gait gathered from motion capture data.

Yes, I did get comments about compliance when it was presented at a conference. Ideas for future iterations, I suppose.
robots look fancier with mechanical tendons i think. but u wouldnt want to get your finger caught in em...

I agree. That is one of the issues with mechanical linkages. There are many pinch points.
