Walking in Utrecht Centraal Station // 4K Spatial Audio

Walking through Utrecht Centraal Station, which is the beating heart of the Netherlands. Utrecht is the center of the Netherlands, so not surprisingly, Utrecht Centraal Station is the biggest train station in the Netherlands.
I enter the Utrecht Centraal Station from the center of Utrecht side. Walking through the Utrecht Centraal station, before walking down towards the railway tracks. Next, I walk back up again towards the center hall of the Utrecht Centraal Station. Walking towards the Jaarbeurs side of the Utrecht Centraal Station. Here, I briefly show the entrance and some viewpoints of this side of the Utrecht Centraal Station.

I just love this train station. Extremely practical in use, feels safe, looks clean.

It was fun to watch this. I know Utrecht Centraal pretty well but seeing it through your camera is very different. Normally I just "run" to my platform and that's it. This video shows me a different perspective. Also, I've never been at tet spot where your video ends. I'll go there soon to have a look myself! Thanks you for a pleasant moment. I will check out more of your videos for sure.

When I was young, there was another Utrecht Centraal. Between 2011 - 2016 the whole station had be rebuilt. The biggest changes are: 1. The station hall continued to Hoog Catharijne (The shopping centre), where you now have the square at the beginning. 2. The station hall was completely different. You can compare it with the station hall of today, but in the style of the early 90s. It wasn't very pretty, but it works, and that's what mattered. 3. The atmosphere was very different. Now everything is modern and technological, while at the time everything was still done in the 'old-fashioned' way. In the station hall there was a large sign with those 'clapperboards' that kept spinning when new departure times came up. Fun Fact: The Dutch National Railway Museum in Utrecht took the sign into its collection when the sign was removed because the station was being renovated and everything was becoming more and more modern. Besides that, the sign was also very iconic. You can view it when you are in the museum Utrecht Centraal is a wonderful place, but I really miss the old one :`( Search on Google for pictures of the old Utrecht Centraal. It may suprise you about the difference!

Interesting that you know so much about this, and nice that you took the time to write this detailed comment, love it! I looked up the old station and the difference is indeed huge. You are right that it looks very different. In a way its sad that those old design get switched up for newer designs and technologies, but it I also think its inherent to life! In the future this station will also get switched up again! Anyway, thank you for your comment! Hope to see you again in the comments in future videos!

@@JeronimoAmbience Little side note: If you search for pictures of the old Utrecht Centraal on Google, you may find some really old pictures of the station around de 50's or something. Sadly enough that was demolished and after that the Utrecht Centraal that I meant was build. I've found a video of someone who walked trough the old Utrecht Centraal 14 years ago, a few years for the renovation. If you want to watch it: here's a link below. At the beginning of the video, there'' s a passage. At that passage is now the square where you're video starts. Actually you both are walking in the same direction! kzread.info/dash/bejne/hZhstI9req7MhKg.html

I could learn that this station is the biggest station in your country. I was thinking that capital city Amsterdam station is the biggest station.
