Walking in PFORZHEIM / Germany 🇩🇪- 4K 60fps (UHD)
Pforzheim is a town in southwestern Germany at the Enz River, surrounded by the Black Forest. Pforzheim is the center of the German jewelry and watch industry.
We start our tour, coming from the train station, in the northern part of the city center. We see the
Castle Church, Saint Michael's (Schloßkirche Sankt Michael) though can't see much of the due to some interview event.
So we head down to the central city which is quiet on this Sunday. The weather is nice and sunny (October 2020) as we walk south to the River Enz.
We cross over to the south, see some residential area and walk back to the center on the Theaterstraße. We see the area around the "Platz des 23. Februar" and head back North in the direction of the train station.
We end our tour at the "Three Rivers Fountain" (Drei-Flüsse-Brunnen) in the Blumenhof.

I really like this channel. It exposes you to many cool towns and cities (especially in Germany) I didn't know exist. Thanks for your videos.
How could a city with such a long history have little to show for it. The answer lies in allied bombing in 1945 that virtually wiped the city off. So sad that we can never see what it once was. Concrete blocks with windows just don’t convey the charm of old architecture. However, it was great for treadmill.

Nice route! If you want to see buildings that were build before 1945, you should give the part of pforzheim thats called dillweisenstein a try. It wasn't destroyed like the rest of the city during the war.

That video was recorded on a DJI Osmo Pocket. I'm writing that info in the video description. Right now I'm filming with the DJI Pocket 2 though videos will come over time from that follow-up model. I prefer the Pocket 1 actually as it overheats less and has a sharper picture. The Pocket 2 has a better gimbal and wider FOV though overheats quicker

Due to WWII bombing you see less of the eye pleasing historical buildings - they are mainly outside of the centre. To the architectural intersted visitors it is nevertheless an abundance of interesting buildings. The station you arrived is as influentual for post-war buildings as is the Reuchlinhaus by Lehmbruck. The brutalism city hall is a landmark for this period of building. From its Roman settlements the centre moved east to what is the centre now and the layout is still dominated by the mideaval times. Rise and fall - nowhere better to be seen than in Pforzheim....

Pforzheim ist auf jeden Fall keine wirklich schöne Stadt, aber es gibt schon den ein oder anderen sehenswerten Teil. Leider zeigt dieses Video aber keine dieser Stellen sondern es wird in 40 min nur das gezeigt was in 15 min abgelaufen werden kann und lediglich den näheren Bereich um den Hauptbahnhof darstellt. Hätte man vorher etwas recherchiert, hätte man auf jeden Fall in 40 min Laufzeit eine wesentlich vielseitigere und hübschere Route vom Hauptbahnhof aus in dem Video zeigen können.

Ich bin für Hinweise immer dankbar. Ich nehme meistens den Bahnhof als Startpunkt, weil ich dort ankomme und auch wieder abfahre. Den meisten Tagestouristen wird es ähnlich gehen. An dem Tag fuhr ich noch nach Ludwigsburg [kzread.info/dash/bejne/q35-u6iQf6zPmrw.html], bevor ich zurück nach Karlsruhe kam. Beide Städte hatte ich in der Tat wenig recherhiert, doch die Videos sollen ohnehin mehr zeigen - auch die weniger touristischen Ecken. Am Ende schneide ich die schönsten Orte vielleicht mal zusammen...wohl auf einem anderen Kanal

Pupshausen eben! Wer dort aufgewachsen ist hegt Sympathien, für alle Anderen eine heruntergekommene Stadt, die ihren Zenit in den 70ern überschritten hat! Hoher Russenanteil, was sicherlich auch zum jetzigen Status der Stadt beigetragen hat, völlig bewertungsfrei natürlich 😉😉😜

It is extremely disheartening the watch as one of the greatest people to walk this Earth, alongside the Japanese are simply going extinct due to their own selfishness and refusal to reproduce, or even put an effort in it. RIP.
