Theres two monsoon seasons in Kerala - advancing monsoon and retreating monsoon. Most other parts of the country get only one. Because Kerala is where monsoon touches India first, there is a clear separation of time between when the monsoon comes and goes back. Hence two seasons

no matter what place it is, if it's raining it's beautiful

Wow! After searching for a rain on a tin roof listening video for months, I finally came across this one that sounds so much like the rain on our tin roof home when I was young. I'm hooked after finally getting some peaceful, restful sleep while this video played. I recently had two surgeries and have had trouble sleeping. Theres two seasons of monsoon in kerala - advancing monsoon(june) when it touches the country for the first time and retreating monsoon (NoV) when it leaves the country.

Yes monsoon season stopped. This rain was due low pressure systems in the Arabic sea.
