Walking in BUCHAREST / Romania 🇷🇴- Old Town to Parliament - 4K 60fps (UHD)

Bucharest / Romania is the country's capital and commercial center. Bucharest offers some attractions besides its landmark the massive, communist-era Palatul Parlamentului government building. Bucharest has benefited from an economic boom along with the EU grants. Many parts of the city that have been rebuilt and now are on par with other European capitals.
Our walking tour starts at the Monumentul Constantin Brâncoveanu at the St. George Church Orthodox church. We leave this church area to enterthe nearby Old Town, the historic Lipscani district. This part of the city is home to an energetic nightlife scene with many bars and restaurants around a few blocks. There we also see the tiny Eastern Orthodox Stavropoleos Church which is one of the most beautiful religious buildings there.
A nice sight, especially at night, are the Downtown Bucharest fountains. The 44 fountains are placed in a large area making it a popular spot for people to sit around and relax.
Eventually we head to the Palace of Parliament (Palatul Parlamentului) where we end this walking tour.

I have been several times to Moldova and 2 videos of Chisinau are on the channel. Iasi is still missing but it depends on the situation in Ukraine as by itself I won't visit Moldova again soon. There is no "promoting" going on as most cities are unknown to KZread audience anyways. Craiova and Constanta may be worth visiting yet they were not on my route and are out of the way. I happened to take a 4h bus Varna-Bucharest before going to Brasov which was great and much more convenient than going through Shumen-Ruse. There's always limited time and budget. Here it was 3 weeks Varna - Prague. A friend was robbed in Constanta I think and Craiova may be done with another Serbia or Sofia trip. Romanian trains are rather slow. Still POPtravel has one of the most diverse collections of city walks

@@poptravelorg Thanks for your feedback. I understand that you are visiting the cities based on the international routes that you plan so you can optimize the quality/budget balance. My statement was rather a recommendation and my queries are curiosities. I also know that the road and railway infrastructure in Romania is in a rather poor condition especially in Moldavia, hence 1 of the reasons. However, as tips, if you ever plan to visit Iasi(or maybe other cities from Moldavia) the train trip takes 5 hours from Bucharest, faster than the road trip. As for Constanta it takes 2-2,5 hours from Bucharest by both train and car and Craiova is approximately 3-3,5 hours away. They both have nice historical centers and interesting sights which make them worth visiting. As I mentioned before, I am suggesting them to some of the popular tourist walking/vlogging channels as those cities are less promoted and visited. Robbing can happen anywhere I got friends who got robbed in Bulgaria and Serbia too. And last but not least, I appreciate your diversity and I have been watching all your tours. Keep up the good work!

What I like most about Bucharest are the many art deco buildings. One has to understand that most European cities expanded greatly in the second half of the nineteenth century, in Bucharest it was more in the Twenties and Thirties of the twentieth century.

I think you're trying to paint some kind of picture of romania as backwards when in fact most of its lack of "progress" historically has been because of nonstop invading forces tearing everything down like the ottomans and even "internally" the communists destroying countless historic buildings

Exista solutii.
