Walking from CROWN SYDNEY Barangaroo To Wynyard Station Via Wynyard Walk Tunnel - Sydney Australia
Walking from CROWN SYDNEY Barangaroo to Wynyard Station via Wynyard Walk Tunnel, Sydney Australia. Wynyard station Interloop wooden escalators sculpture is shown at the end of video.
Crown Sydney is a casino and hotel skyscraper in Barangaroo, Sydney, Australia. At a height of 271.3 m (890 ft), with 75 floors, it surpassed Chifley Tower as the tallest building in Sydney, topping out in March 2020, with a final completion date scheduled for December 2020.
Barangaroo is an area of central Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It is located on the north-western edge of the Sydney central business district and the southern end of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. It is part of the local government area of the City of Sydney
The Wynyard Walk is a 180-metre-long (590 ft) pedestrian link and tunnel between Wynyard station and Barangaroo in the Sydney central business district. The walkway was officially opened on 20 September 2016. Wynyard Walk provides a quick and safe route and has increased the entry and exit capacity of Wynyard station to meet demand as Barangaroo is redeveloped. An estimated 20,000 pedestrians per hour can walk through the tunnel. In 2009, prior to construction of Barangaroo, the pedestrian tunnel was estimated to cost $100 million.
Wynyard railway station (/ˈwɪnjərd/) is a heritage-listed underground commuter rail station located in the north-west precinct of the Sydney central business district in New South Wales, Australia. The station opened on 28 February 1932 to coincide with the opening of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

Wow Sydney has changed a lot in the 13 years since I was there last, Wynyard was a dirty, smelly, dark, cramped station now its beautiful...Bangaroo surprised me that it still isnt finished after 20 years of development
Thanks for sharing the video… omg the Wynyard station so much change .. i still remember the wooden escalator back in 1989 I used to ride the train to work and stop at this station.. thanks Australia 🇦🇺 my second home❤️

Me too
Great tour through Sydney newest changes. I moved from Sydney to Perth in 2004 and I've only briefly been back in 2013. So much for me to explore when I'm there next. Thanks for taking the time to do this.

Thankyou for your video can not believe how much Sydney has change in 2 1/2 years. Wynyard looks like space age to me too.
Looks very quiet.
Lovely walk
Tak bardzo chciałabym być w Sydney 😀
Barangeroo used to be old shipping docks, they started redevelopment about 10 years ago adjacent to the Kings Street Wharf restaurant precinct. The Crown Building houses a high rollers casino, residential apartments, offices shops and restaurants, the building opened in November 2020. They are still building more so it's still on going.
Very nice indeed 👍
Greatly enjoyed this episode ML! Good view and interesting content! Big thanks!

Hi, can you feature Cronulla Beach?
How long walking to station please.
I left Sydney in 2012,this area was not there,I ve never been to Barangaroo, any idea when this whole area was developed? It is another new city for me

It hasn't been redeveloped in one go. The first part - King St Wharf area (the Southern Part) was developed from the early 2000s. Construction of the next section along seems to have started in earnest in 2012 - this includes the 3 large International Towers. There was also preparation/early construction work for Barangaroo Park (on the headland) in 2012/13. This park was opened on 22 August 2015. Site remediation for the next section began in early 2016 (removing pollution from an old gas works that had occupied part of the site) and early site preparation for the Crown tower in late 2016, with construction starting in 2017. This last section still has a lot of construction underway (including Barangaroo Metro Station, and 3 large apartment buildings), and won't be completed for many years.

Surely this is an urban planning disaster. Offices that are totally commuter reliant. Build offices closer to where people live, not hard

There’s quite a lot of residential buildings along that walk if you want to live close to work
@australianpatriot

@@robman2095 The supply of them is far too limited meaning the area has the highest apartment prices in the country, more tall residential buildings will be necessary for the surrounding area

@@robman2095 they aren't that tall tho, tbh I'd build some apartments all along the northern beaches and piss off the locals
