I am 60 years old and brisk walking is part of my daily routine since my retirement 10 years ago. I feel like I'm on my early 40's energy wise and has no maintenance medication.

Having a dog or dogs helps. I'm almost 70 and have walked dogs for the past 20 years - an hour or more a day - two of my dogs lived to 16 1/2 so I know it helped them too. I'm in relatively good health and credit it to my walking.

I have schizoaffective disorder and eczema. I started walking again after nearly 2 years of quitting. I feel so amazing. I like to walk outside and have awareness of my surroundings and the people who walk by me. It really makes me feel human. Expressing sex appeal is another shunned topic that walking helps with. Walking in nature is amazing in general. So happy to see a video about this.

I have always believed that walking is the best exercise you can get - after all we evolved to walk, that's why our bodies are the shape they are. I walk at least 30 mins per day. At times when I am unwell and I can't walk, I feel REALLY unfit at first when I recover.

If going for a walk sounds boring to you, incorporate it into a chore. For example, if you have a grocery store a few miles away, and the neighborhood you live in is decent, and all you need is non-perishable items, then strap on a backpack and walk there. By doing so not only do you get needed exercise, but also you're accomplishing something while at it.

House cleaning, dog sitting including feeding letting in and out several times everyday. Making meals, serving adults and pets. Walking up and down stairs several times a day to get to rooms upstairs and catering to one cancer/kidney patient. Is this consider exercise Oh yes and catering to more than one person every Friday, sometimes cooking and catering to a family of 7 or less when they. Visit on weekends. I sometimes end up tired, go upstairs and read my Bible and spend time with my kitty.

My husband complained when we were dating, because we walked so much...I always loved to walk. One day my dad took us to a nature area where there was swimming, and trails etc, and decided to find it. I was about 10 yrs old. I remembered the streets he took, and started my journey. The area was another town , which was a few miles. I found it. My ancestors must have been explorers, lol...but I also remember my dad loved to take us on a Sunday drive, and he loved to get lost, and find his way back. I learned to dislike Sunday drives, and I don't like to be lost when I am alone. When I am with a friend, it doesn't matter. I do love challenges though, just not those that feel insurmountable.

Question ? I just found your channel today and found it interesting enough to subscribe. My question is are these in anyway related. Some years ago i developed trigger finger, (both hands) then last year 2020 i developed BellsPalsy,(right side) which as of now i am still recovering, and Just recently after starting to walk on my treadmill, developed Tarsal Tunnel in my left ankle. I am in reasonably good health, at 67 years old, I take only Thyroid meds in the last 3 years and Glaucoma drops about 5 years, until these i was almost never ill. I know you can not treat over a message but even just some thoughts would be well appreciated. Thanks for sharing
