Walking Between Busan's Two Most Famous Beaches 🇰🇷 Korea Dulle Trail Ep.2

🇰🇷 Korea Dulle Trail (코리아둘레길) - Stamp 2/252
☀️ Haeparang Trail Course 1 (해파랑길1코스)
Hello everyone! It was our second day on the Haeparang Trail, and time for us to walk from Gwangalli (광안리) to Haeundae (해운대) on Haeparang Trail Course 1 (해파랑길1코스), which is one part of the Korea Dulle Trail (코리아둘레길) that goes for 4500 km (2800 miles) around Korea. We take a look at Millak (민락), which used to have a theme park and a lot of fisheries, and has now been changed into apartment complexes. We also learnt that the Millak Waterfront Park (민락수변공원), which was really well known for people eating hoe (회) and soju (소주) at night time, has stopped allowing people to drink, resulting in a lot less people going these days, and it losing a lot of its charm. Then we walk through Busan's Marine City (부산마린시티), Busan's wealthy neighbourhood with huge skyscraper apartments and yacht clubs, and we discover that the restaurants there might be a bit out of our budget, so we show you how to eat a nice cheap meal at a convenience store instead. We finally arrived at Haeundae (해운대), the end of Haeparang Trail Course 1, which is the perfect finish to a day of walking, and now we await when our true adventure starts!

I enjoyed your biking videos In korea there are so many rice paddy and gravel roads that lead all over, it would be great to take this slower paced approach to bike touring in the future

Thanks so much @Lyferemixed! We will do some more bike trips in the future as well! Hoping to do a big bike upgrade this year (we were on city hybrid bikes before), so we can go on rougher terrain and not worry too much about our bikes! Happy and safe cycling!

Yes, our family is super excited. We plan to stay for the next 5 years and biking these trails and learning to speak Korean fluently are my goals that I wish to attain. I love what you guys are doing, sharing such a beautiful side of Korea that many miss out on. I was in Goesan last February and the scene at the park where you guys camped out made me smile. It brought back memories of some of the early morning walks up the surrounding hills. Beautiful scenery and warm people.

I enjoyed my time in Busan after cycling from Seoul on the 4 river path. I did some hiking and city/coastal exploration. I have been thinking of taking time off my bicycle and doing some trekking in Korea. Chill pace seems like fun.

Cycling and trekking are both amazing ways to explore the country I think! Really curious about trekking now, as it will have a lot more sections that force you to go into nature and smaller cities, and I think there will be some really nice views along the way.

The google street view transformation from just 13 years ago was shocking. The urban landscape continues to evolve in Korea whether one likes it or not. Not saying the Post-War Busan was an eye-catcher but Busan of the last 15 years isn't necessarily more impressive in my eyes. It's got your generic glitzy glass high-res towers and typical beachside Honolulu hotels. Yet, as you point out, it's losing its charm.

  • @lostthenfound

We don't have a set amount of km per day, as filming itself takes a lot of time and energy in addition to walking, but I imagine we will average at about 20km or so once we get started.
