Harvard University is a private Ivy League research university in Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States. Founded in 1636 as Harvard College and named for its first benefactor, the Puritan clergyman John Harvard, it is the oldest institution of higher learning in the United States. Its influence, wealth, and rankings have made it one of the most prestigious universities in the world.
1. Harvard square
Harvard Square is a triangular plaza at the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue, Brattle Street and John F. Kennedy Street near the center of Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States. The term "Harvard Square" is also used to delineate the business district and Harvard University surrounding that intersection, which is the historic center of Cambridge.
2. John Harvard statue: is a sculpture in bronze by Daniel Chester French in Harvard Yard, Cambridge, Massachu­setts honoring clergyman John Harvard 1607-1638, whose deathbed bequest to the "schoale or Colledge" recently undertaken by the Massachu­setts Bay Colony was so gratefully received that it was consequently ordered "that the Colledge agreed upon formerly to bee built at Cambridg shalbee called Harvard Colledge.
3. Harvard Yard Harvard Yard, in Cambridge, Massachusetts, is a grassy area enclosed by fences with twenty-seven gates. It is the oldest part of the Harvard University campus, its historic center, and its modern crossroads.
4. Memorial Hall : Memorial Hall, immediately north of Harvard Yard in Cambridge, Massachusetts, is a large High Victorian Gothic building honoring Harvard men's sacrifices in defense of the Union during the American Civil War‍-‌"a symbol of Boston's commitment to the Unionist cause and the abolitionist movement in America." Memorial Hall houses Sanders Theatre, Annenberg Hall, the Memorial Transept and Loker Commons, home of the Cambridge Queen's Head pub.
5. Tanners fountain: Situated between Harvard Yard, the Science Center and Memorial Hall on the Harvard University campus, this busy pedestrian crossroads was transformed in 1984 by Peter Walker and the SWA Group into a minimalist fountain intended to be inhabited, explored and traversed.
6. Annenberg Hall : Located inside the Memorial Hall, Annenberg Hall serves as the dining hall for freshmen of Harvard College. When it was constructed in 1874, people from all over the country came to visit, since it was one of the largest indoor meeting spaces ever constructed in the US.
7. Harvard Natural History Museum: Located north of the Science Center and near the graduate dorms, the Natural History Museum is a great place where many students don’t even go throughout their time at Harvard! Although admission is open only to Harvard community
8. Harvard Freshman Dormitories
a. Stoughton hall :Stoughton Hall (built 1805) is Harvard's second building to be named Stoughton Hall. Designed by Charles Bulfinch, it was built by Thomas Dawes. The original Stoughton Hall was built in 1700 and funded by Massachusetts Lieutenant Governor William Stoughton
b. Straus Hall was built in 1926 by three brothers in memory of their parents, Isidor and Ida Straus.
c. Thayer Hall was built in 1870 and originally offered housing to students who had trouble affording the ever-increasing prices of housing outside the university.

    Saw a van roll past my office a minute ago with the words Live to explore printed on the side. I thought that sounds like a name for a KZread channel. And here you are! But now a key question: do you drive a gray van?
