This part of the Philippines is very modern

Some People say that BGC looks fake because it's not the " true Philippines". What I would give for BGC to be the standard for a normal city in Manila. And it's sad that some people think that the "Real" Manila that people think of is the crappy version of it.

when people think of manila the first thing that comes to their mind is slums, traffic, high crimes, people who eat "pagpag" or leftover food and all the negative bullshit that news always show, they show a little about the progress that is happening in manila, thats why it become normal for people to say that the true face of manila is the poor one

I like it how there are so many open spaces in BGC. It's not just one concrete jungle with all tall buildings. Walking around BGC is very enjoyable with so many greeneries and very pedestrian friendly too.

I've been to Bonifacio High Strip and SM Aura. I am a Local tourist from Negros Occidental and I am amazed with the infrastructure and the view

A lot of people actually are not aware that BGC (Bonifacio Global City) is even a little bigger than Monaco which is the second-smallest sovereign state in the world (after Vatican City). So for context, either Monaco is "that small" (BGC is just a "township") or BGC is "that big".

So far, for me, the only recognizable building that I can see in BGC would be the Grand Hyatt building. It’s recognizable since it’s the tallest skycraper that we have so far and because of the golden “crown” on its top

BGC looks different from other Asian cities it really does look and feels like a mix of American and Australian feel which makes it unique from any other Big cities in asia. Although it's just a cbd, if all of Manila would look like this Manila would be on par with Singapore when it comes to cleanliness and I like the vibe of BGC more than Singapore cuz it really does feel like you're in America while Singapore and other cities in Asia looks like a typical Asian city feels. One thing that I really want BGC to have or the Whole Manila is a Double decker bus which would be a perfect blend to BGC just like Singapore. And I hope that the government would make the sidewalks in the whole manila more walkable and neat.

I've been here twice and it's absolutely gorgeous. It's walkable and clean.

Ang sarap maglakad dyan maluwag mga pedestrian lane. Sana ganun din sa ibang cities sa Metro Manila. Pero ayoko ng modern building sa Manila ayos na yung mga old buildings don kasi may history. Need lang maging malinis at mabawasan ng mg tao.

BGC, Ayala Ave. and Ortigas Center are some of my fave spots in Metro Manila.

It is really good try and can see the modern Philippines and it really looms amazing.

Enjoyed the daytime walk of Bonifacio High Street, Burgos Circle and Forbestown. Oh and Linear Park as well (didn't know that existed, or that the golf course was part of Makati). Was hoping for the (daytime) Uptown Mall, Uptown Parade and Uptown condos areas. Have you covered that before? I am from the US, and I am thinking of making a place in Uptown BGC a part time home. BGC is so nice! 🇵🇭

If rules are properly enforced, the people will follow. Yan ang kulang sa ibang lugar. Pinapabayaan lang ang mga jaywalker. At dahil wala namang hinuhuli, then wala nang sumusunod sa mga rules.

BGC SHOULD EXPAND THEIR AREA..MORE OPEN SPACES, MORE PARKS, ETC..#1 BUSINESS DISTRICT IN PHILIPPINES

Well, concrete jungles are destroying the nature so I wouldn’t say modern countries are beautiful. Countrysides are the most beautiful

This is the most American city in the Philippines

i grew up from county side of Pampanga Philippines until now. someday i’ll be the one of the residents living there instead of always walking and living here with massive flood yearly. i wanna live here so bad since grade school. puhon.

Sana gumawa rin ng planned city na pinapakita yung native Pinoy architectures. Like houses alhough made of cement have some Filipino feel to it. The problem with the Philippines is that we don't have our identity. We're like a mime, copying other architectures, Spanish and American alike. Unless you go to rural areas where Filipino architecture is really present.

There is bahay na bato its really beautiful when restored. It has those capiz type window similar to the japanese style windows. I Wouldn't call it Spanish style since it's a hybrid and uses local materials. The problem is thelgu govt. Dont prioritize preserving enriching and promoting native culture. they rather watch k drama.

The past was long eroded in the sands of time, South Korea once had those old houses, they learned to let go of the past and adapt to the new presnt changing into a glorious metropolis so I think we should too.

Funny how I can easily commute to BGC but never been there yet this 2022

I worked in BGC for several years from 2009. I had several co-working spaces also where I rented for some of my businesses. I plan to relocate in a condo in the Southeast side near the American Memorial Park. Would appreciate if you can post a walking tour there . Thanks! :-)

Hi, did you mean that you are looking for a place to rent? If yes, one of my condos is in Trion which is adjacent to American Memorial Park. Since I'm stuck here in the US, I am planning to have it rented out. It's a 1-BR unit with a balcony facing the 9th Ave. It's a stone's throw away from SM Aura. It's one of those buildings at around 0.21 in the video Let me know if interested. Thanks.

Maganda rin naman sa Singapore, pero 'yun nga lang dated na talaga 'yung planning. Parang Makati na lang ang vibe n'ya sa akin plus the Amusement. Ang BGC kasi mas ok 'yung planning tsaka mas bago ang mga structures.

thats the year i bought my condo ! from bellgio you can still see serendra now its all tall building.

Unpopular opinion pero congested na rin dito ngayon. I remember back in 2012 sobrang spacious pa. Ngayon parang Makati na lang din yung lugar.

Because philippines is overpopulated one by one everyplace will be congested and traffic ridden if they dont control the runaway population.

I want to visit this place but I heard that the public transportation there is pretty hard to access, I wish that we have our own car so we could visit that place whenever we want. 😓

The oldest city of Manila was built in 1571 by the Spanish. Its called Intramuros. Manila has expanded since then. Now this area, still part of Metro Manila was built beginning in 1998.
