Shay, I am in abject amazement! You ROK! While I do not have a spinal cord injury, I have had 12 or 13 lumbar surgeries due to progressive disc disease and severe nerve damage. I'm aware that...One day my neurosurgeon will no longer be able to do that- I'm just trying to prepare myself for that day. Seeing you gave me hope. LUCRETIA

It's the runway walk for me! :) Although I did get a little nervous when you did the no braces demo... I loved this video! I was also watch your dog, and it was wonderful how you dog knew to be there as emotional support and not to get in the way of your foot path to trip you up... so precious! Your accent sounds like an eastcoaster. Im from cape breton but in bc now. I crushed my T11 20 years ago in a car accident. I was lucky enough to heal. I got mad respect for you and great walking man. Youre a beast

I remember those days. T12 incomplete. Im 7 years in the new journey myself. Keep being mobile it helps big time. Honestly i told the wheel chair to take a hike and it helped me progress to walking faster.

Shane - you are amazing! I just loved your video. I used to walk with forearm crutches & AFOs and then one day my crutch slipped in the rain and I fell in front of a restaurant and broke my hip. Ever since then I’ve had increased spasticity and now I use the chair almost all the time. I agree with you - I get around a lot faster and I’m a lot safer. I really enjoyed your video!

Ahhh! I’ve literally just been measure for my braces. Due to get the final fitting in the next few weeks. Really looking forward to no longer having drop foot or tripping over my toes! My MS has deteriorating pretty fast of late, having used ankle braces for over a year, I'm looking forward to these.

At the beginning when first learning to walk again I had full leg braces.. they took time to get on. I wear my my braces most the day especially if I am out and about. Wearing the braces help reduce my spasticity. I don't walk often anymore as I want to preserve my shoulders and hips so like you I normally use my chair. Thanks for sharing!

...... I have an idea of a wheelchair where you can be in a "standing" position - with small wheels (or cranks) hand-level and move around like you just did whilst in the standing position ......
