For real, he’s got the blue eyes (which I would consider kinda important because “son of the sea god” and all that), but I couldn’t care less if he’s sandy blond or brown/black haired. Besides, a lot of kids with blond hair end up with darker brown hair when they’re in their teens, so his may end up that way anyway.🤷‍♀️

They’re gonna dye his hair, his roots are dark so his hair is dye able. The eyes honestly aren’t a problem. + he’s young so I don’t think anybody wants the kid being uncomfortable with colored contacts. His eyes are sea colored enough, I’m just happy they’re sticking to the right age of the character 😂

He’s perfect! he’s sarcastic, wonderfully chaotic, but has an innocence mixed curiosity that shows and will be so ever present as Percy. He’s amazing. The minute I found out I was so f excited, because of his work on The Adam Project.

I usually don't like it when people cast actors that doesn't match their physicaI appearance, but I'll make an exception this time since this kid just radiates Percy Jackson's energy and sassines

He's such good casting for Percy! Really hope they do the source material justice (unlike before), Percy Jackson was one of the first book series I fully read through (although me and my Mom took turns reading each chapter but that's besides the point). So far I like what I'm seeing, really hope the end result is what we've been waiting for.

On one hand I want the PJO series to be well known just like the HP series because it deserves the recognition. But on the other hand I want to gatekeep it from the locals who will judge everything, from characters to plot and to little thing in general. Maybe I’m just scared of the growing toxicity every fandom faces whenever a show gets popular, especially from a book adaptation.

If the show does well then this kid is probably going to have the Avengers effect where almost everyone just recognizes him as Percy Jackson

HE'S LITERALLY THE PERFECT CHOICE FOR PERCY 😭

My favorite part in the Adam Project film was when Ryan's character disintegrated one of the soldiers , as the camera pans forward in the same shot and the boy just points and yells "WHAT IS HAPPENING😱" haha, so good. Much talent.

I have never seen Walker Scobell (besides a photo of him being casted) until now, so I was just glad he looks Percy's age! But now I'm even more excited cause his talent really shows in this video! Children can do amazing things, fantasy or not, and casting people who are the campers' ages only does the books, author, and fanbase justice (even if some of us fans, including me, are grown up now), but also, children shouldn't have to believe that only teens or adults can be every day heroes, and I think that is one of the most important messages that Rick Riordan gives readers through his wonderful books.

I don’t care about how he looks his personality is absolutely flawless for the role of Percy

@Gia Nina Morales yep! Of course this isn’t to say that it applies to all dyslexic people equally, different people have different symptoms to different degrees. But it can be associated with some of the following - Plenty of dyslexic kids start talking later than neurotypical kids - Dyslexic people may have more frequent issues with stuttering, pronunciation or word retrieval (ie, more of those “ahh what’s that word again, it’s on the top of my tongue” moments) than neurotypicals - A study of dyslexic adults found that they had more difficulty matching voices to characters (should note that it seems to be just a single study though) - It can be easier for dyslexic people to lose a voice among background noise, and to understand what was said (y’know, those moments where you keep asking someone to repeat and you just don’t hear what they’re saying)
