Walk with me | Ep. 4 - Chandni Chowk, Old Delhi, India2 | Hauz Qazi, Nai Sarak, Begum Samru's Haveli

Old Delhi, Delhi, India | 2022: This start early in the morning at the Hauz Qazi Chowk in Chandni Chowk, Old Delhi. We used the Delhi Metro to get there and on our way up the escalator at the Chawri Bazar station we magically transition from the modern Delhi of today to the old Delhi of Shahjahanabad.
Our walk starts at the Hauz Qazi Chowk which is an important intersection in this part of Old Delhi. We spend a few minutes at this spot, noticing the hustle and bustle of this area which becomes a prominent spot for daily laborers in morning. These laborers are sitting by the roadside here, waiting for people to hire them on a daily wage for the day.
From Hauz Qazi Chowk we talk along the Sitaram Bazar road and explore a narrow lane perpendicular to this main road. But we only spend a few minutes in the Sitaram Bazar road area and soon take a left turn and come out on the other side at another main road in the area called the Chawri Bazar road. On this road we stop and adore a a prominent Haveli called Bhanamal Ki Haveli.
We take a left turn on the Chawri Bazar road to start moving roughly in the north direction towards Nai Sarak which is another prominent road and locality of Chandni Chowk. We pass through narrow lanes and come across interesting houses and views before finally coming out onto the Nai Sarak main road.
We spend some time leisurely walking and exploring the visuals and humans of Nai Sarak before taking a turn towards Dharampura which is roughly adjacent to Nai Sarak. We walk along the familar lanes of Dharampura that we also explored in an earlier walk but this time we get to explore newer and equally interesting visuals from sweets shops and other places in the area.
Just before leaving Dharampura and coming out onto the Kinari Bazar main road we stop for some delicious hot tea at the roadside. Once refueled with the caffeinated drink,l we head onto the Kinari Bazar road where we walk around an re-explore a bit of an area we explored better and deeper in a previous walk.
From Kinari Bazar we come out on the Chandni Chowk main road that connects Red Fort in the east to the Fatehpuri Masjid in the west. From here we walk over and find the final spot of our walk - the once majestic but now crumbling and neglected Begum Samru's Haveli. We spend time exploring this old haveli which was built more in the European style of architecture than any other. Our video and our walk ends as we walk out of this area.

Finally, a slow walk with a slowly and professionally done video narration..... usually videos jump all over the place and are dark so one can't see much. Looking forward to more !! Well done ! Hari OM ! 💗💙🧡💚👍🕉🕉🕉🕉🕉🕉🕉🕉🕉🕉🕉🕉🕉

That cruel bhaiya actually did a favour by closing the gate making that particular frame even more beautiful. Haha :) This is yet another beautiful video from the old Delhi exploration series! 🤩

Thanks for this comment. Your suggestion sounds very beautiful and very interesting. I have visited Shimla. You can search “walk with me shimla“ to find those videos. But I would love to visit all those places some time soon. Hop to spend enough time exploring and recording them :)
