Walk: CAT CAT VILLAGE 🇻🇳 with a very Bubbly H'mong Guide in SAPA

Visited Cat Cat Village in Sapa with Dinh the super friendly H'mong guide and I had a truly memorable time especially with Dinh's guidance and local insights.
The visit started with Dinh arriving early at my hotel to meet up with me. We left the hotel and Dinh suggested we walked to Cat Cat Village and once we are done, grab a bike back to the hotel and that turned out to be the best decision as the walk down hill towards Cat Cat Village entrance was not only breathtaking but I truly enjoyed our conversation along the way.
Do consider getting in touch with Dinh below if you are visiting Sapa via her Airbnb listing. You can discuss with her different guided tour similar to what I did:

Cat Cat Village itself was although touristy, she provided me with a glimpse of H'mong tribe life with their rich culture and unique heritage. Once thing I regret was not taking time to sample some of their food on offer along the way which was my fault since I wanted to get to the iconic waterfall and water wheels area.
This visit was made very memorable not only for the natural beauty of Cat Cat Village but also Dinh for her bubbly personality and warm heart to share the best of the H'mong people and her personal story with me.
A visit to Cat Cat Village is definitely a must in my books for anyone visiting Sapa, Vietnam.

    You found the perfect tour guide. She didn't take advantage of you. I'm Hmong also and she's very knowledgeable of our culture at such a young age. I could tell, she's a very capable Hmong woman. Me, I've been brainwashed by the Americans : ). Traditionally, she makes the perfect Hmong wife. Her husband is very lucky. Thanks for an excellent video. I enjoyed it.

    Thanks for sharing and yes she was indeed a great guide and more importantly, great person too. Would you mind elaborating what you meant by 'brainwashed by American' and how it affect your preferences?

    Wow really? Commercialism took over I guess but if it does provide opportunities for the local H'mong people, I guess it's a good thing.

    Hi there Oliver. Thanks for dropping by the channel and for your questions. The electric vehicle costs VND 20,000 (USD 0.80) per person and the bike into town was VND 50,000 (USD 2.00) per person. Safe travels to Sapa and have a memorable time there my friend!

    Can we cover sapa in 2 days?

  • @WanderEats

    @WanderEats

    Yes you could via the main attractions like what I did because I technically had only 30 hours in Sapa. An extra day I would have gone for a night stay at the H'mong village.

    I think they should not charge the entry fee, instead of that they should improve the services inside the village so tourists will feel more reasonable when spending money

    Thanks for your sharing Jamie. I actually don't mind paying an entry fee but perhaps much cheaper while as you said, provide better facilities and attractions for me to spend more in the village to support the locals which I would love to do so.
