Sad! But remembering their huge expansion with a ‘Walgreens on the corner of happy and healthy’ wondering if it was sustainable. There are 5 to 7 I visit on a regular rotation.

I am not surprised. We had 5 CVS, and are down to 3. But we still had all 4 of the same Walgreens. And the Walgreens employees at the 2 main ones i go to always talk about how much theft the wrestle with.

Rite Aid closed in my city over 10 years ago. In my city, Walgreens have stores blocks away from each other. It seems like if it is a CVS, there is a Walgreens across the street.

Sad, I worked for Walgreens for 10 years, it had got me through high school, and college and was such a great job - sad for the families

Its a hard pill to swallow but with all the rite aids closing in ohio and Michigan and now a ton of walgreens closing..it looks like it might be the end of couponing🤷‍♀️..that really only leaves cvs and I hardly shop there anymore as the updates to the systems and coupon policies has just made it not fun..and the prices of everything JESUS..I used to extreme coupon every week but it just kept getting harder and harder..I try to rely a lot on rebate apps and dollar general clearance events lol!

I have quite a few Walgreens stores in my surrounding area and I wouldn’t be surprised if a couple close. Also, there are so many people shop lifting cause store employees are not to confront thieves. Sad. 😢

Yeah I hear about the shoplifting at least once a month and I only go there on Sundays.

My store is very profitable. Luckily the Walgreens in my town are in good locations and well spaced apart. My Rite-Aide is closing. I'm so sad for the employees. I've been going there for many years and it was always my go-to store.

I so hate that for the employees.

Earlier this year, a local Walgreen's pharmacy started closing on Sundays. Anyone else see their pharmacy close on Sundays only? Wonder if a sign of one closing in the near future.

Oh no!! Walgreens just took over 2 pharmacies on our town. I sure hope it doesn’t close our main store. Nuts! Hopefully all the folks losing jobs will find better positions. Bless them

How sad, I only have 1 Rite Aid & 1 Walgreens in our town. I would have to do some big traveling to get to another store. Hope they keep one of them open. Walgreens is my favorite.

There's really no way to know as far as will it be cities with multiple locations or will it be those in small towns. Both are possibilities. Only corporate can see the numbers, so they are the only ones that will know for sure.

They just closed Rite Aid near me. They transferred all prescriptions to Walgreens across the street. Now Walgreens I guess only smaller pharmacies will be left. We used to have cvs years ago and all near me closed.

Are you kidding me! Walgreens management would rather have the cashiers rip and trash a perk than give it to the next customer. Plus the stores around here act like they really don't want customers anyway.

They just built and opened one 3 years ago in my area

My cvs closed about three months ago

When I worked in the pharmacy before the illness that shall not be named the pharmacy only made money on immunizations why we had to push them so hard. They lost around a dollar for every script filled, it was the hope the money would be made up when buying groceries (it was as supermarket pharmacy). I constantly heard the worst horror stories from fill in pharmacists about Walgreens and how it was the worst pharmacy to be a tech at so I can see stand alone pharmacies loosing money. Also I am betting the stories that get robbed a lot will close. I have seen videos of people grabbing stuff and just running out, another guy using a blowtorch on a locked case to get stuff, and frozen food doors chained shut to reduce theft. The Walgreens closest to where I live was tried of replacing the sliding doors so they literally built a wall and put a house door in that spot. It looks so odd.

So sad they closed my closest one last year. I have 1 30 minutes away now sure hope they don't close it. 😢😢

It’s sad but I saw it coming ; with CVS going toa 2 week ad & emphasizing more on pharmacy & RiteAid closing so many stores , Walgreens had to be next

A lady told cashier "Give it to som 4:36 eone else" So I said* Ill take it"She said it wouldnt work b/c its connected to her phone#. I justt wish she saud "No" & instead of lying. I didnt waist my breath. Not worth it

Some are probably closing due to the cashiers, some near me said i could only do 2 transactions only had 3 transactions i needed to do to make my wcash come out correctly, they said its due to people using the Catalina machine. That is what its there for.

My store you can only use 1 Rr per transaction , so can’t do bid deals unless more Oop

We have 3 in my town.

There are just too many shoplifters who just walk out of the store with bags full of stuff and employees can't do anything based on their store policy. I think that's why walgreens have to close because they are not making enough profit.

Walgreens only has 20% of the RA stores, i think that idea is gone gone since they are closing all stores in many states. Just a hard time for phramacies in usa

Tbh I think most getting closed are just in bad locations to begin with, a lot of Walgreens are in prime real estate and connivence locations while others kind of aren’t, plus they probably the biggest company that has dealt with theft since the pandemic. Ironing out Walgreens is the fix to a lot of other struggling businesses so this is a major economic indicator right now, Walgreens will essentially go bust for good or start a wave boom across other markets. I think Walgreens is too big to fall, it’s not like k mart or block buster. Main reason for the crash is being squeezed by both sides if politics while being hammered with lawsuits they had to pay out by the hundred millions

It amazes me just how the second largest pharmacy is closing when just 10 years ago they were celebrating opening so many new stores. sadly people are loosing jobs. Just the rich staying rich and living off the backs of others

Uggh!! I have 3 within a 5 mile stretch. More bad news.

I have 6 Walgreens within 10 minutes from my house. That’s not including the rest of my town. I am sure I will see some closures here.

Vote. Especially if you do not like the current economy. Understand that the current problems are a result domestic and foreign policies of the current administration.

Couponer are no different from thieves that walk in a store & take wo paying. Greedy couponers steal when they call customer svc ask 4 walgrn cash which they are given & they turn around ask Catalina for the RR knowing they rec credit from customer svc. That is stealing cuz u payed nothing 4 the product. Shame on u.
