    @badlongon525

    3 жыл бұрын

    @@thepinoychoppingboard1012 nobody is triggered until someone accuses somebody he is triggered. Let's call a spade a spade. It's tagalog. Filipinos dont refer to the tagalog dialect/language as filipino language but "tagalog". In Bisaya which is my mother tongue, we call it "Pinulungang Tagalog" (Tagalog language/dialect) and NOT "Pinulungang Filipino" (*cringe*). It is what it is. By way of example, we say "marunong ka bang magtagalog?", "Oo, marunong akong managalog". We don't say, "marunong ka bang mag Filipino?", "Hindi ako marunong mag Filipino." See the difference? That's what we do in our daily conversations. The former examples sound organic while the latter examples sound forced and manufactured. Coz the truth is, Filipino as a language is a manufactured language. It isn't organic like Cebuano, Waray-Waray, Ilokano, Ilonggo etc. It was created in the 1935 Constitution, during the Commonwealth period or the American era, and then "experts" were commissioned to study and form what is the Filipino language and then eventually taught formally in schools all over the country. But Filipinos especially in the provinces know and still call it as Tagalog and not Filipino. Overseas, only those who aren't sure about the name of our national language specifically, Americans, refer to that language as "Filipino" language coz that's because they are not aware of the name that it is "Tagalog". Just like the Japanese language. The name of their language is not Japanese but "Nihonggo". But for those who do know historically, like the Indonesians, Japanese, Spanish, Malaysians, Thais, Chinese and Koreans call our national language as "Tagalog" and not "Filipino".

  • @artesiningart4961

    @artesiningart4961

    3 жыл бұрын

    @@badlongon525 It's because of the lack of practice, normalization, usage, education, promotion, and encouragement to use the word "Filipino" in our country for the name of our national language and one of our official languages, and being an official, legal/constitutional, and academic, educational, or institutional name for our national language. The problem and issue is that everybody never uses the word "Filipino" for our national language and then nobody corrects us for years and decades. For the majority of our people, "Filipino" is just a name of a school subject that teaches about the Tagalog language that is being taught, used, and understood throughout the country, or that it is a name and word in English for our people, nationality, citizenship, and an adjective that describes a noun that is related to these. One never-ending problem is that linguistically-speaking the Filipino national language and the Tagalog regional language are just the same and still the same even up until now in the 21st Century. The goal or mission is for the Filipino national language to be less Tagalog and to be shaped, evolved, cultivated, enriched, and developed with linguistic elements and other language elements coming from the other languages used and spoken in the Philippines, including foreign languages, and since 1987 up to 2021, this is still not yet fully achieved and is still on the very slow process, especially when it comes to the standard variety, variant, or dialect that is being taught and used in public and private school systems, the national government level, and in the national mass media and entertainment. The only main differences between the Filipino national language and the Tagalog regional language are mainly political or official, legal or constitutional, academic, educational, and institutional, and not in common nor normal practice and usage by our people, and still not fully on the linguistic or language side. The only linguistic or language differences between the two are in terms of their inclusiveness, the number of vocabulary words or lexicons used, and what and where do these vocabulary words or lexicons came from. Tagalog is mainly the language name for the collection of dialects, varieties, variants, and accents of human speech natively spoken and used mainly in NCR or Metro Manila, Calabarzon, and some parts or areas of Mimaropa, Bicol, Central Luzon, Soccsksargen, and BARMM. It's main origins is accordingly from the island province of Marinduque, and then diverged into Southern Tagalog Region or Calabarzon, Metro Manila or NCR, then into Central Luzon, and then branching out into some other parts or places in Bicol and Mimaropa, then through the Filipino national language, it spreaded into some parts, areas, or places Soccsksargen and BARMM. Tagalog is inclusive, but it is less inclusive of linguistic or language elements like using, having, or borrowing new vocabulary words or lexicons, greetings, cognate words, and expressions from the other languages used and spoken in the Philippines, and it mainly concentrates on its "deepness or purity" and on the usage of so-called old, archaic, or deep Tagalog vocabulary words or lexicons, greetings, expressions, and other linguistic or language elements coming mainly from the regions and provinces of the "Katagalugan" area or region. Filipino on the other hand went on a development, evolution, or history, and is accordingly derived, descended, based, or came from the Tagalog regional language, or is a standard or standardized, official, and is the most prestigious dialect, variety, or variant of the Tagalog regional language. Others say that Filipino is the dialect, form, variant, or variety of the Tagalog regional language that is pluricentric and a lingua franca, or the version of Tagalog that is taught, used, spoken, written, and most well-known and well-understood all over the country and the world by and among all Filipino people, nationals, and or citizens of various lineages, ancestry, heritage, ethnicity, culture, religion, tradicions, customs, and used, written, and spoken native, folk, or ethnic languages and dialects of the Philippines or foreign languages. Filipino is mainly originated from the Central or Northern versions, forms, variants, varieties, or dialects of Tagalog that is used, spoken, and written in NCR or Metro Manila, and or in Bulacan, Cavite, Rizal, and Laguna. Now, it is also used, written, spoken, and understood throughout the Philippines, especially in urban areas and centers like cities, especially on city propers, and on town or municipal centers or propers that are places where people of various languages and dialects of the Philippines and the world interact. Filipino is also inclusive, and it is more inclusive of linguistic or language elements coming from the other languages used and spoken in the Philippines and from foreign languages. The goal or mission is for these two to be more different in a lot more ways from each other, and unfortunately it is not yet fully realized. That's why up until now, they are still interchangeable to one another. ✌😊

    I have seen a lot of reactors but only few were able to point out the word "support". On-point guys, on-point 💕 I am aware that in other countries, adults would normally discourage kids from pursuing their dreams to be artists saying that they are meant to be teachers, engineers, doctors, etc. But in the Philippines, most parents allow their children to follow their dreams, teachers would always encourage students to go up on stage to share their talents, and would support them as much as they can.

    As much as I want to agree with you, It's not the case in the Philippines. YES! Parents/Teachers allow students/kids to do their craft like singing, dancing, drawing but that's just it. They still encourage their kids to be doctors, engineers, architects, etc. They support their kids with their craft but is making sure it is just a 'hobby' and that their kids would still pursue a career they (parents) thinks their child would earn more. Note this is the case with MOST families in the Philippines, but not ALL.

    I grew up in Philippines during my childhood. One of my most precious memories were sharing music with my family(who were also previous members of bands). My cousins and I make our own percussions and jam out. I moved to Iceland where talent is encouraged but usually not quite available all round. I was alienated and estranged when people found my love for jamming odd. Fast forward, I finished secondary school and entered university in Philippines. My class and I literally spend the time jamming, bringing out guitars, beatbox, and just sing the whole break. One thing I can say is, I love how Philippines just don’t give a fuck. Be talented or not? As long as you enjoy what you do, you’re supported and encouraged.

    I've seen kids on the street doing back flip cause that is how they play. Maybe because in the Philippines there's no much pressure compared to other countries, that's why people here they do the things they want and Filipinos mostly copy what they see.

If you will just come to visit my class you wouldn't want to go out anymore or perhaps end your class☺️❤️🙏 I support all students who have good voice quality and push them to be part of any program in school that needs someone to give a song number.... I love supporting these kind of people❤️ if just have enough I should have let these students have everything they need... 🙏

    Hi, I was touched by Efra's touching reaction. Thank you, you're so kind. Generally and it has been a norm of Filipinos to be supportive to our fellow Filipinos. Our teachers too by here, if they see their students has talent whatever talent it is. The teacher usually will give the support no matter what. You're right Efra the support of the teacher is amazing and generally that's normal in our country. The boy who sang the power of love, was even in our news it went viral.the boy didn't know he was being filmed. There was this one comment to one of the reactors which made me kind a laugh, I guess it's true he said"Babies in the Philippines when they are born, they don't cry, they sing" 😁😁😁 Thank you for your kind reactions. Those are all raw videos who went viral here in our country. Thank you to the both of you🙏❤️

    Yeah, i'm with you Efra and Wale. You've got the genuine emotional reaction. Culturally, Latinos and Filipinos have strong family ties. That is why our support system is very strong. Although there are people who have crab mentality, but We are generally generous, accommodating and understanding. For instance, everytime our boxing hero, Senator Manny Pacquiao, have a fight, everybody's attention is focused on their tv sets. While local government units organized and install big tv screen to accommodate the less fortunate constituents. Infact, Police reports, show zero crime rate in the whole country during the fight. That's amazing, but it's true. For the next podcast, try to react Talented, random Filipinos singing in Malls.😎

    Fun fact: it's difficult to live in the Philippines for the locals, so sometimes they sing their frustrations out, and make something happy. They make joy out of a sad situation, so they all seem like happy people. Singing helps filipinos to cope and any other hobbies.

    Just wanna share some realtalk guys and not trying to be negative. The support system of Pinoys are impeccable, but there's also toxic side of "some" Pinoys. Having a mindset of "crab mentality". Don't get me wrong and i'm not generalizing all Pinoys but sometimes usually abroad, the ones that will put you down are not foreigners but your own Pinoy kababayan (countrymen). I hope this toxic trait of "some" Pinoys will perished anytime soon. 🙏🏻 But I guess, they are few. More Pinoys are more into Bayanihan pa rin, like they will help you no matter what race you are in. ♥️🇵🇭
