The company has no presence in Scotland and is based out of Hong Kong. The company is also responsible for numerous other scams, including the Kamikoto knives (which are $10 knives sold for $270).

@@hellothere-ln9ot about what exactly? Established titles does not give you legal title to a plot of land or the right to call yourself a Lord or Lady. They may give some of your money to plant trees in Scotland but you could donate directly and cut the the middleman. Most art never gains in value and anything people are pushing this hard is most likely a bad idea rather like crypto currency. These are things best left to the experrs. Did this help?

@@victorkumps6846 apparently, yes. Mine is Thai with Sanskrit influence which is not that hard to pronounce if you speak one of hundreds of Indo-Aryan languages or Khmer and many Tai-Kadai languages. Unlike Celtic-based one like Welsh. There're very few surviving related languages for you to rely on.

Kings and generals, this is an awesome channel and I understand that you need to accept sponsorships for the funding, but established titles is a scam. The advertising is clearly misleading. I think I'd accept that the videos were produced before the scam issue became widely known. However, the fact that they're still pinning comments promoting "holiday sales" is a clear indication that they aren't concerned about the uproar they're receiving on almost every video recently. Perhaps they think they're a big enough channel that they don't have to worry about pissing off a few subscribers. They're wrong. We can live without one of a multitude of decent history channels far better than they can live without subscribers, if people stand by their principles and unsubscribe. That's exactly what I'm going to do, right now.

You may want to consider dropping Established Titles sponsorship.

Kings and Generals I love your channel but you're scamming your viewers with established titles, so it would be cool if you cut off relations with them, as they don't give you land and you're not eligible to be a lord under Scottish rule.

I don’t know what’s in the contract, but using words like official this and official, that everything… Leads people to believe that they actually own the land, and can legally change their names on legal documents, based on an acquisition of plot which turns out is just a “souvenir plot” they don’t own. A little more transparency is needed.

Scottish law forbids to sell such amount little land and of course bying land dosen't grant you a titles and they don't habe the authority to grant any titles. Of course they don't even plant trees.

While the spelling is different from English, the rules for it are actually pretty simple, and few of the sounds are not common in English (and of those, they tend to be relatively easy for a native English-speaker to pick up). Once you learn the (relatively simple) rules, it is mostly pretty easy.

Very well explained, the map helped a lot. While I'm happy to be Welsh, I have to say that our tribal nature must have made it a nightmare to try to live peaceably if that's what you wanted to do. And in-fighting always made us vulnerable to unified enemies. A bit like the native peoples of North America. Imagine if they all fought together as one nation! European colonists would still be clinging to the East Coast.

you touched on the battle of hastings at the end 1066 one of our ancestors fought there a thann called elric..did you know that the surviving saxon familys that were thrown of there lands went to the welch marshes ..to the left of birmingham on the map.behind offars dyke area. traveled for nearly 3 years looking at old monestry/church records and maps wales was much bigger then..

@World Citizen Edward never exerted the degree of control over Wales to manage an extensive slave population. And no, Edward imported entire towns of English to build and maintain the castle-town occupation system that he set up, to the extent that it nearly broke the English coffers. And, for that matter, slavery in Wales DID have what amounted to a minimum wage during the Middle Ages. The law codes afforded them certain rights and their situation was more comparable to serfdom than chattel slavery.

When Established Titles sells a Title Pack to a customer, it is entering into a private agreement to dedicate a specific souvenir plot, identified with a unique plot number, to a specific person. The purchase of a Title Pack from Established Titles does not constitute or trigger a transfer of ownership over that souvenir plot or any part of the land in the legal sense. Souvenir plots are, at the time of writing, defined in the Land Registration (Scotland) Act of 2012 as “a piece of land which, being of inconsiderable size or no practical utility, is unlikely to be wanted in isolation except for the sake of mere ownership or for sentimental reasons or commemorative purposes”, and cannot be registered with the Keeper of the Registers. Under Scottish law, ownership of land only transfers upon registration. As the Keeper of Registers does not register souvenir plots, Established Titles, or an entity of its choosing, shall remain the underlying owner of the land itself, but keep its own private records of which souvenir plots have been dedicated, and to whom. You do excellent work when investigating history and historical events. Only you should put the same diligence in your sponsors and what they tell you. ESTABLISHED TITLES is a scam - you should not further promote it. Rather donate the money to the Scottish reforestation fund and print yourself out a title, it has the same validity and in fact even higher value for Scotland.
