I love dahlias. They are such a magical flower. I love to get them started early so I can have more flowers outside. There's many different ways to wake up dahlia tubers. I'm choosing to pot them up. I will be taking cuttings also- in another video. I really want to plant big potted dahlia plants into the ground this season instead of just tubers. I'm very hopeful for more flowers. come along as I pot up several and also search for some of my over wintered tubers. I use an old laundry basket with burlap and cedar mulch. So far it has worked for me.

@@gardenfunwithjane4897 we can be damp but I keep mine in the basement so I have to mist the mulch a few times over the winter.
Where do you find those pink labels?

Help...so, I had a beautiful Mystic illusion Dahlia last year...left it outside too long in winter( before I knew to dig tubers up) and thought omg they will have rotted...so here i am in April and decided oh well best dig it out and cry...when WOOHOOOOO...about 10 tubers looking like little potatoes and solid. How do I wake them up?...you haven't said

If they made it through the winter outside then they're probably going to come up on their own but you can put them up inside that will wake them up I also have heard of putting it in a ziplock bag with some soil I like to put it on the heat mat
