This is, so far, the best movie series Netflix has picked up to produce. First movie was solid but made by a different company. Glass Onion was fun and didn’t turn to crap after Netflix got their hands on it. This could be a massive movie collection by the time they may wrap it up

Johnson has spoken about being a fan of Christie's genre hopping with murder mysteries. Since the first was a fairly traditional whodunnit, and Glass Onion was a bit more of a sci-fi/comedy/satire, I had a feeling he was going to take a darker turn with the next one. This teaser suggests that's exactly what he's doing. I have a feeling it will be akin to Branaughs tonal shift into A Haunting in Venice, and I am here for that.

@@Largentina. Well the genre is a mystery whodunnit with other influences. For example, A Haunting in Venice isn't a horror movie, it's just horror influenced. Glass Onion isn't sci-fi, but Niles Bron's compound and his tech, especially the mineral that could ignite the worlds atmosphere introduced a bit of sci-fi flavour to it.

titles can also be named after or reffered to a place where the crime will be committed. They can be named after simple phrases. All of which have something to do with the word secret which in this case the title of each these Knives Out movies do. The first refers to how secrets are like knives while the second refers to secrets are also like onions because of the layers. But this title refers to where secrets can be found and who doesn't keep them. The collection of Knives seen in the first, the glass onion in the second, and the blackletter font commonly seen in newspapers all represent secrets out in the open with the person revealing those secrets being a person who is dead because the dead have no secrets. It may not be coincedence they chose to name this new film after that song.

Yes a new Knives Out movie in 2025!!! I watch the predecessor’s and they were great. Funny sometimes and great cast. I’m curious about the new cast members who are joining the franchise. Benoit Blanc is one of the greatest protagonists introduced since 2019. Daniel Craig’s best role outside of James Bond/007.
