Wakan Tanka- Native American.wmv

Музыка

pictures and film to a bonnie tune.
Wakan Tanka to the Dakota nations means The Great Mystery, Wakan Tanka (the Great Mystery)Often designated by non-Native Americans as "the Great Spirit". In a certain sense,
the supreme power of the Lakota universe. Every object in the world whether it be of the earth, the air, the fire or the water has a spirit and that spirit is Wakan. Thus the spirit of the tree or beings of that kind, while not like the spirit of man, are also Wakan.
"Wakan Not a divinity, or even a spirit, as such, the concept of wakan is a very central one and should be commented upon. Wakan means "mystery", "something marvellous", "a sacred essence". It is an impersonal force within all things, animate and inanimate alike. Some things have more of it than others, though - language is wakan, food is wakan, medicine (magick) is wakan, birth and death are wakan. To be a Wicasa Wakan (a shaman or "medicine man") is to develop a great deal of wakan within oneself, and to utilize it "
"The term has a double meaning - technically it refers to all the spiritual powers of the universe, as if assembled together around a council fire. As imagined though, the "council" of the spirits becomes a single entity, and this is the second meaning of the term - the collective power of all the Gods, considered as a specific entity. This entity informs all space and time, and is present in all things animate and inanimate. The spirit underlying Wakan Tanka itself is Inyan, who caused all things to be by sacrificing His own nature, and thereby infusing all things with His nature. Wakan Tanka can be addressed directly in prayer and ritual, but His influence within the world is diffused through His elements and aspects. "

Actually, this what I learned; The true meaning got lost in translation when "black robes" tried translating the Bible into Lakota/Dakota languages. There are actually many meanings for the two words. "Wakan," but not "Spirit" or "Great" best translation is "All that is." "Tanka" can also mean many different things depending on the context and how used. Mystery is one, "Being" or "Power," and a few others.

The United States now needs is, say, in the near future, A president who comes from the Native Americans A person native of that land, a man a woman with culture, education and autochthonous American blood. I believe that among indigenous communities there must be a person with sufficient preparation and courage to fight the White House in the future. My prayers will be with North America always and I know that the day of change will come. This period is a test and must be faced with courage and good strategies. Minorities should focus on defending their rights and making peace and the rule of law prevail in a country where democracy and freedom prevail. My greetings and fraternal embrace from Chile to the south of the world. May God enlighten North America. Blessing from Chile in the South America. )O(

Rosaluz Lopez Ruiz This is what I also have been saying for a long time. The US should have had a Native American President long ago already. A Native American President would do an amazing job not just for the US but for the world as a whole as Native American People are very wise and all of us could learn from them. Sadly everybody only thinks of having a White or African American President but nobody thinks of the true owners of the land. I would love to sit with the Native American elders and just listen to their stories and their wisdom. It would mean so much to me and would be one of my dreams come true. I love the Native American People more than my own people and I don't know why. Within my heart I can the beating of the Native American drums and I don't know why. I feel so strongly for the Native American People and I have no idea why. I dream of them and don't know why. I feel this pull towards them and again I don't know why. I absolutely, completely and utterly love the Native American People, their culture, their traditions, their way of thinking, their wisdom, their gentleness and the Red Road. I firmly believe that the Red Road is the only way we can save Mother Earth and with it the existence of humanity, because if humanity continues on the same path it is currently on, it will destroy itself. I am also firmly believe, that the Red Nation will rise again and they will show the rest of humanity how to respect all life and Mother Earth.

Rosa luz my mother bless her soul influence me into the natural First Nation people which she loved and cherished. I also have this calling to follow their ways. Their love and respect for all things especially our only home Mother Earth. I try my best at learning and following their ways. The balance between drums and flute as well as the balance between Chants and dance absolutely is something we should all practice. I bet we all would be happier and willing to give Mother Nature the time it needs to heal. I love to generate good vibrations and if ever go to any event such as PowWow or in Latin America a religious festival you'll feel and see the power it generates. It's mesmerizing. It's all Good Vibrations.

well name of song is Wakan Tanka and in English at begining talking of all things, Wakan Tanka means to the Dakota's (the Great Mystery) White people reffered to this as Great Spirit. but its a bit more complicated than just Great Spirit. its the supreme power of the Lakota universe. in fact i should put this on side bar, as many people think Wakan Tanka is just Great Spirit it is in a way but much more.

Ovo je zvuk koji obožavam. Osjećam ga svakom stanicom svoga bića. Kad sam tužna, podigne me, kad sam sretna, usreći me još više. Kad sam napeta, opusti me.Kad me muči nesanica, uspava me. To je, naprosto, dio mene.

Thank you sooo much for your help, explanation + translation !!! For us as German citizens, as a Germanic people (fair, bright [nearly ivory in color] skin +hair) with a language of Anglo-saxon+ Germanic roots, with a picturesque vocabulary, we always try to understand other indigenous peoples +their languages. Thus, we now can understand the meaning of "Wakan Tanka". Irissia +Joerg (Jorge) Beckmann, D-48165 Muenster, Germany
