@@KianTilton Where does it specifically say in the bible that masturbation is wrong? Ive read the entire bible and didn´t find anything there about masturbation. Porn has been linked to some nasty things like erectlile dysfunction and teenagers going nuts and raping people.

Luis Almeida I’ve heard from pastors that masturbation is a form of adultery (which is a sinful act) similar to pornography because you are lusting over something or someone else rather than your future spouse so it is considered adultery (from what I’ve heard)

@@luisalmeida8275 I know this is a month later (and sorry this is long!!) but hope you see this! A verse God brought to me recently is 1 Corinthians 6:18-20. It says, "Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit which are God's." If we really think about it, masturbation is truly a self serving action to fulfill our needs of the flesh in the moment. After reading 1 Corinthians, specifically the part that says to glorify God in your body, I realized that this is such a beautiful opportunity and call from God to do things differently than the world. With masturbation, it is extremely extremely hard to commit that act, and even what sparks us wanting to do that act is driven by lust. For myself personally this was always the case that led me to masturbation. The Bible is clear about that (lust) being a sin. Romans 13:14 says to "make no provision for the flesh" , in other words, don't put ourselves in situations that would cause us to sin. This is why Paul says in 1 Corinthians 6:12 that all things are lawful but are not helpful. So even if masturbation is lawful, how does that help us fulfill our purpose in Jesus? How is that helpful to the spread of His gospel? How is it helpful for our santification? As Paul did, we should also discipline our body and bring it into subjection (1 Corinthians 9:27) so that an action that we do does not disqualify us from the gospel being heard by others. Instead of a question of IF we are allowed to do something that isn't technically sin, man what greater glory is there in living in the purposes for which God has called us, a much greater purpose than fulfilling fleshly lusts.

This is probably the best and wisest talk on dating boundaries I've ever heard🌟💛

I’m glad that you clarified that peace doesn’t always come right away. I didn’t have true peace till 8 months in because of fears from my past that God knew I needed to work through ❤️

Doesn’t change the message or that her season of singleness was to protect and reset her heart ❤️ And I agree, I’m loving my single 20s so far, I’d much rather have multiple gentleman courting me so I can make a selection than to pin myself to the first one that comes along. Thanks so much for making these videos. I felt God telling me maybe I’m not supposed to be married to anyone except Jesus, so when Kyle mentioned that, I received some confirmation. This would explain why nobody has pursued me in some time, even though I believe I’m a great catch just like Kian said- and also why I’m being drawn to closer consecration with the Lord. I’m enjoying this season of singleness, but am still somewhat hopeful that maybe one day the Lord will suit me to be ready. Love you both so much and I am so blessed by your videos. This is the advice I needed. You are so lucky to have a man who is willing to wait. This is one of the best (if not the best) gift he can offer you. I have decided to reconnect with Jesus and prioritize Him. So far it has healed me and I am much more comfortable with myself. It has been easier to wait for the right man.

We enjoyed the boldness and it is a great question. I encourage you to pray on that in your own time. The goal is to keep the marriage bed pure. (hebrews 13:4) It also says even looking at a woman with lust is committing adultery.(matthew 5:28) Therefore second/third base would most definitely be considered a form of sexual immorality outside of marriage. If the goal is to keep the marriage bed as pure as possible we shouldn't be asking "how far can we go" rather "how far can we stay away" 💛

He gets upset whenever I tell him that we should maybe lay off certain things, so this is probably a sign that I should leave him... it can be very difficult to break up especially when you have feelings for the other person. Kirsten Young If he’s getting upset over that then maybe you’re right and it’s not the right relationship for you. My bf and I want to respect God and each other, and even though we have desires (of course) and even though we occasionally mess up, we both want to be the best we can be and it’s not just one of us carrying that. He so desperately want to respect me and do God’s will that he’s often the one to create new boundaries, discuss things, and pray about it the most (and he has much more temptation/desire than me so that’s saying something). I’m not saying your relationship is wrong bc there’s a lot of great things about every person and you care about the person. But it is important to consider whether your partners values match up to yours. Best of luck to you and I’ll be praying for clarity for you!

@Kirsten Young You should never be made to feel like you honoring Gid is an inconvenience. Kissing is fine, affection is fine...but it seems he may be wanting to toe with the line...and the last thing a man of God would want is for his potential wife to feel pressured into compromising her purity. I speak as someone who has been in this situation before, and compromised to please my (then) boyfriend....so much regret and shame followed, and I wouldn't wish that on any of my sisters in Christ.

This whole video was such a blessing to me but the portion around 18 mins really touched me and I became tearful when Kyle said, "God is not a God of confusion." I can vividly remember feeling His peace when deciding where to go to grad school and that being SO CLEAR yet have felt confusion over His timing. I'm turning 25 in 6 days and have never had a boyfriend or even gone on a real date, and hearing you talk Kian about the blessing of God guarding Kyle and how from relationships and your thoughts about not wanting to date someone's husband and have that person worry about relationships of the past was powerful. Truly helps me to believe God has a deep purpose for my singleness, and will pray that God will open me up WHEN my foundation is secure. Amen!

I definitely recommend "Things I wish I'd known before we got married" by Gary Chapman (who is also christian), we were given this book by our pastor after our pre marriage course and it was so interesting and useful and you can definitely go back to it in the future if need be :)

I really hope you can feel connected soon!!! I think it is normal to feel this way right now. I was feeling really down the other day. I needed to work on my faith-based Blog but just wasn't "feeling it." I was feeling so uninspired and kinda depressed. I decided to go outside and do some physical exercise. I walked and then did some body weight exercises. While I did the exercise, I listened to Christian videos. I think getting that fresh air and movement while hearing the word...helped tremendously! I came back home and was super pumped to work on my Blog. Maybe physical exercise while listening to sermons can help you, too!?😊

Praying for you during this time! its such a struggle without the support of our christian brothers and sisters in person. Have you tried doing a bible study with a few friends via zoom or Skype? so uplifting spending time in Gods word together and get that important fellowship. Dating has been so weird for me. First i didnt like anybody. I wasnt intrested in guys i met. Im a new christian and i still was contemplating a non christian and weird thing would happen like this guy i went on a date told me he was a pagan... what?😒 and another guy told me he was the devil😱 and i only liked 1 guy in 2 years only kiss him till today and he stole from his mom and did drugs. Soo i thought if a man is not with jesus im not gonna even give him a chance again. Theres this other friend i know his intrested in me but i feel nothing for him and i guess i have to keep waiting. Im ok do im doing well. God is helping me some how and im sure im not missing out on anything right now. When god has a man for me he will come around in talking of jesus.

it's so crazy, i am not a virgin, but i decided to not have sex again until marriage and i told myself i'd makeout before, but ive actually been convicted lately that i will more than likely only do "peck" kisses before haha. i used to think it was silly that people didnt even kiss, but now i realize why.

I agree. All my friends (even my christian friends) think I am crazy, but I am strongly convicted against making out before marriage. I think it is lustful and not honoring to the other person and the other person's future spouse if it is not you. I used to think it was crazy too.

God can speak in His scripture, I've also had images in my mind of something specific and the feeling would be really strong and I would just know it's from God. But i think you just have to build your relationship with Jesus, and more and more you'll know His voice. Like you'll just know it is Him speaking. Hope this helps?

Just as have God us our conscious, He gave us intuition. Hearing the voice of God feels similarly to listening to those parts of ourselves, but it feels like it’s coming from a source larger than our own being (because he is!!) and isn’t always what we expect to hear.
