This new Lego space theme seems like a good step in the right direction. After Lego’s continual effort of pumping out endless amounts of overpriced licensed sets, it’s good to see more reasonably priced original sets from them

Oh it does!

The studs on the back are so they can add stuff in the more expensive sets. For instance one of them has robot arms attached.

That is true. I kinda wish it was just two studs though

The draw for me is that Figure, The space construction suit looks great the amour and helmet gives me major Halo Spartan vibes LOL. The mech itself does the job and is respectable, might get multiple overall a good set and easy impulse buy.

To me at least the right arm looks like a pickaxe mixed with a sledgehammer.

love the new series - to me, this city space theme could almost act as a bridge between the more reality-based city space sets from the past 10 years or so (NASA-esque) & the variety of space themes from the late 70s - mid 90s. from a timeline point of view, almost like a prequel to classic space & its subthemes rather than a retcon. wishful thinking perhaps, but hopefully this leads us into new classic space + subthemes sets as well as the "timeline" progresses.

Showing my age here, but the space theme is not new. It was around back in the "80 when I was a kid. I had some of those older Lego sets with that same logo.

I know--Lego has been doing iterations of Space for years, and this is the newest iteration. It has a very different spin on it

the glass on the helmet appears to be on incorrectly, it’s supposed to be put in upside down which is the first time I’ve seen Lego do that on purpose

Uhh, pretty sure it physically does not fit upside down. Those visors only fit on one way. I can test it but there does not appear to be any way to fit it aside from the normal upright position

I have this set and just checked and on the instructions it shows it being put in up-side-down, I guess them made it able to fit both ways @@DemarcationMedia

I bought the Marvel War Machine mech with this one (the best mech of the licensed lines imo.) This set blows the licensed stuff away. The armor also reminds me of Samus.

The armor does have a very Samus look to it. I've considered getting the War Machine set, just haven't gone for it yet

@@DemarcationMedia I like the War Machine. However, the lack of articulation at the ankles (and knee joints, of course) makes it more of a display like piece rather than a posable set. It's definitely good for parts.
