This was the first punch in the guts from the game. Vandham is only part of the game for basically one chapter and still this hits so hard. Be ready for more... Fun Fact: There is a Van-(dham) in many Monolithsoft games. It's kind of their Cid. In XC1 it was translated different though. The Japanese version has a Vandamme, but in the West it got changed to Vangarre. He is "Square-Tache", the Colonel from Colony 9.

​@@SolitarySaturn In Xenoblade 3 he looks almost exactly like in Xenoblade 2 and I believe even the voice actor is the same, at least it sounded the same to me. (I just started to play the game some days ago)

It is funny how Smash Bros spoils games, with Mythra as a character and even with Xenoblade 1, it spoils Fiora (Mecha Fiora is in Shulk's final smash attack). Mythra sending light from the sky, truly living up to the title of Aegis.

This scene was great, but I remember being in awe at the resolution dropping to 480p (?!) for a couple of the intensive cutscenes. Monolith really really knows how to push the Switch but they had to compensate somehow, I guess.

You are doing ok.... Probably better than me on my first playthrough. You just need to do more blade combos to have orbs to destroy and extend the chain attack, preferable enough to break to go into full burst.

You will need more blades to have more combo options to be able to have enough elemental orbs to go into full burst tho. But you are doing great. It's a system that demands time.

I love mythra a lot. I love her more with her Smash bros. outfit, just like Pyra. But I honestly think Mythra is one of the best aspects of Xenoblade 2, or should I say, Mythra's mystery. Oh man,I am excited for you to get to the later moments of the game. We'll see.

That's my favorite city in the game too. It looks steampunk for some reason. Medieval but high technology too. Don't worry too much about the blades getting crossed over their functions, you'll be able to change later. Also, sometimes it can be handy to have a healer on the "wrong" pilot, (for example). It won't be so strong but it can be interesting to experiment slightly twisting the roles of the pilots. In my opinion that was a mistake from the developers. The pilots shouldn't have a fixed affinity to one specific role. And I think they agree, they fixed it in later games.

You don't automatically pick up item drops in battle, even in boss battles, unless the boss battle ends. You missed a rare core crystal that Akhos dropped when you defeated him. It is not too important overall, but it is still good to look out for. Also enjoy having 3 blades at once.

Other criticism that I have and that is starting to get out is how awful Rex's writing is. The guy is not a white knight, the guy is THE white knight. He is such an... anime protagonist. So goodie goodie... I know, this is like crying for the sky being blue... but Rex sometimes gets under my skin XD, so sorry.

Rex is very anime protagonist, but it's not like it's out of place. It's irritating but he's supposed to be that way
