Waggler Fishing for Beginners - Everything you need to know. In this video I show you how to catch fish using a Waggler Float. I start from the point at which I have just sat down in a new spot and go through every aspect of how to approach the task. This is all done in real time so you can see how the day progresses and how successful my day is.
Don't worry if I appear to go through this video too quickly and without a full explanation of what I am doing. This is a summary video of all those I have previously recorded. The detailed videos go into a lot more depth of each separate aspect, and these will be indicated on the screen as they arise.

Thanks Russell. The basics are always going to be pretty much the same as back in our youth.
Love your work Den. A thoughtful and encouraging approach that can be applied to a broad range of species.

Lol. Thanks John. I've been busy I'm afraid. I had a weeks fishing holiday and since then I don't seem to have had a minute to myself. It's hard work being retired!
Once more another great vid

It was John. I just wanted to put everything together in one video for Newbies so it made sense of all the piecemeal videos i did in the past.
Watched a few of your videos now. Im intrigued by the fact that you seem to make traditional English fishing techniques work down there in Oz. I presume these videos are filmed down there?

Yes they are. I live about 2 hours north of Sydney, so most of my videos are filmed locally. I do sometime travel to larger matches further away, but everything is filmed in Australia.
Like the match fishing tactics of 3 different swims

Thanks Stephen. It usually brings in a few more fish and the ones which come from the margins are often the bigger variety.
Den, I'm getting back into coarse fishing after 25 years or so. I understand the use of float adaptors enabling the change of floats but in this video I think you are saying you use a swivel adaptor as well. Isn't that duplicating the float-change option? ps your video's are giving me lots of useful advice, thanks.

Hi Neil. Thanks for your comments. I used to use that adapter to hold the float in position on the line, but these days I tend to use a clip swivel fixed in position by Guru Super Tight Line Stops.
What did you use for the home made float adapter?

Hi Stephen. Bicycle Valve Rubber, Plastic Tube, a small piece of fishing line and the clip section of a clip swivel. I will do a video of how I make them next week for you.

I call it Den's Pond Gary. It's at the end of the street where I live in New South Wales Australia. I moved here from the UK about 4 years ago.
Why is the rod pointed downwards?

You need to sink your line in order to keep the Waggler float from being pulled out of position by the surface skim caused by the wind. This video should help to explain what I mean: kzread.info/dash/bejne/Y2mWs9dpls68Z5s.html
