I think a lot of people's negative reactions to Wage War is that every clean melody sounds the same. Like this sounds like a song off pressure tbh but this song is a banger no doubt.

I only like cleans when they are used occasionally in an album unless you use good cop bad cop, you shouldn’t have an equal amount of both in a song atleast in my opinion.
Oh man, the timing. I just realised yesterday my "best friend" of 10 years is actually a two-faced rat. Great song!

Great song. I can relate with all the vultures that I called friends & family that swooped in during my divorce. People suck, but music like this keeps my faith in humanity alive.
Heavy and brutal just like we like. This album is going to be a great mix of heavy, melodic and catchy.

This is it. This album feels like it's more of a natural progression from Deadweight than Pressure. Been waiting for this one for a long time, worth the wait. 💀🤘🏻

@@TheBurritoBear I love Pressure. Ghost, Who I Am, even The Line and Me Against Myself and all of the softer songs too. I love Pressure as a total package, but this album has more of a Wage War signature feel it seems like.

Oh 100%. They really sat down with this album and progressed very nicely.
Everything about this song is incredible. The whispering vocals of that almost electronic sound at the beginning, and then the guitars slamming in with those pauses - oof! "just in time to let me fall" being synced with the instruments like that sounds great. and the "uh-uh" at 0:37 as well! Then the whispering of "Should have known it all along" which makes the chorus hit so much harder. and damn the chorus is just so good. The melody and clean vocals - ahh! -- and then "forget" being screamed before the chorus with the drums doing a little pause before it leads into the main part again. that electronic sound echoing back and forth that starts around 2:10 sounds niiice. then the drums again at 2:23. and at 2:31, "I see -underneath-" is sung with a little extra oomph, I absolutely love when singers do that during the last chorus. Finally, the "lie. to. me." at 2:39 with the continued vocals in the background there before the end are - delightful. Seriously I love it all.
You're the first band in a long time that I feel that speaks to my soul. Your music is perfection!

Imagine finding the perfect song about a "friend" in your life... and there happens to be an insane guitar riff to go with it. That's what this song is for me.
This album has made me a die hard fan of Wage War, definitely in my top 3 bands of all time

Name one artist nowadays that doesn’t used autotune. They use it sparingly here because I’ll tell you right now, they sound just as good live as they do in the studio. People are always so quick to assume autotune is the only thing carrying a song. Sometimes it does (like everything you hear on pop radio now) But in this case, it isn’t.
"Wounds cut so deep when you lie to me right through your teeth" This can be taken in a context of a friend, a loved one, and politicians. Wage War you guys get it right with every darn song. Props! 👏🤘

Dude totally said the same that there was a bit of a fit for a king influence there but glad I’m not the only one who thought so.

Loving all 3 singles so far, can't wait for new album.
This one is my favorite of the singles they have released so far. I like the progression from the melodies they had in Pressure and adding some of their original sound to it. This song provides a good balance between old and new.
Yes my boys going hard in the paint! So glad they have went back to the heavy sound. This does feel like the right path after Deadweight than what Pressure did. Looking forward to this album.
