If i heard correct Yuko the lead singer became a mom two months ago of a baby girl
Kiyoshi Ibukuro plays a rare 25 string koto. It is most common with 13 or 17 strings. Beni doesn't smile much, but when she does, the whole hall lights up. The song was written by kurona and is from their 3rd album Shikisai (2017)
The whole song sounded familiar and like something that have never heard before at the same time. Great performance. What a cool band. 😊✌💙

Beni Ninagawa, a shamisen player, has a youtube channel and distributes videos. 蜷川べに_Beni Ninagawa
Beni smiles more than you'd expect, but only during live performances. Her image in music vids is the "Badass Shamisen Rock Goddess". But during lives, you can see her living her dream and loving it. I recommend the song Yoshiwara Lament, from their Dai Shinnenkai 2018 concert (Dai Shinnenkai = Big New Year Meeting), not only for a really fun song, but Beni gets the spot light since it's a shamisen focused song. Once you said VH & DLR I also got a few of their songs stuck in my head listening to this.
Not really my thing but I can appreciate their musicianship. I like the combination of traditional and western instruments.
