I went to Wadi Shab last week. Just one piece of advice to anyone visiting there - if you or anyone in your group isn't comfortable with 8-9 ft. deep water swimming, then they can either rent a life jacket or buy one on the way to the wadi. Have a safe exploration.

Thanks Jan 🙏😊 There isn’t anywhere to change so it’s best to bring water proof shorts, T-shirt etc, the water was deep at certain points so you have to swim but then becomes shallow again again at intervals, and it’s not a strenuous hike at all and quite a lot of it has some shade, it’s a great place to visit! Xx

Just a quick question. Would I be able to get the hike done without a tour guide? Or do they offer u a tour guide when u get to the Wadi. Also how long in total was the hike?

' If you don't want to provoke others, then what could be the reason to wear something like that, specially when you are visiting a country where modesty and unprovocative life style is the culture. you should respect others culture, specially don't misuse it for little gain . or if its wont bring any good for the society. Be Blessed .

I dress how I want because I am free to. I went swimming in this video so obviously I needed to wear less clothes. I also wore what made me comfortable in the heat while in Oman and nobody was “provoked” from my time there because they are friendly people that are welcoming to all cultures including western women. I dont judge others for their clothes or beliefs, I welcome differences because thats what makes the world unique and exciting and thankfully the majority of the world reciprocates this sentiment back to me. Especially those in Oman.
