I remember seeing all these ads between the cartoons, all the adventure board games culminating in the ones that came with a video (like atmosfear) and now they are all long gone because they lost the battle for attention with videogames!

In the Netherlands this was sold under the name / title 'De Schat en de Sleutel'. And the commercial was the same.

I remembering seeing this advert on The Children's Channel when I was like... 5-8 years old or something. Never seen the game nor played it, only seen this advert and remember it till this day.

i loved this game growing up - just got it on ebay. my bro and sis used to sing "kkk, key to the kingdom!" hahaha

I bought this game from someone on eBay--still in the plastic--for $16 a couple months ago. It's an awesome game. It kept our family busy for about 4 hours the other night.

That animation is...really cool

Playing this just now ...game been in the loft for about 30 years. My god it's so complicated for my now old brain! My 14 yr old loving it though

The people in the advert are not even playing it right! You can't control the demon king, yet when the gnome comes up someone is! No wonder this game was never popular, and the thing is, it's a great game too!

James' did a great job getting me interested in this game, and this commercial did a great job of killing that interest dead.

does know if the monster cards are available for download somewhere?

The acquisitions by Hasbro just massacred these smaller games. Like this game and Hero Quest by Waddingtons. Sad.
