Oh gosh the small hands were HILARIOUS, Brad you are a genius teacher/ entertainer/ comedian/ artist; you should have continued the video super serious and drawn on the wacom with the small hands hahahahhaha

Ok, now use the pro pen and those tiny hands to make a painting.

I just got the Wacom 16HD a few days ago. Spent the whole weekend with it and I must say, I’m loving it. Using it mostly for blender at the moment and it makes texture painting, sculpting and grease pencil a BReeze!!. 👍🏾

I could see this pen being amazing for tilt support with sketching. Though $80 for it feels kinda high if there is not much difference.

very few people use tilt the pro pen is nearly perfect i dont think they need to re design for that, no one uses tilt for pro work its usally for sketching which isnt a deal breaker in my opinion you can't appeal to everyone

No, I’d rather the nibs on the pro pen. Don’t get me wrong, I like the Apple Pencil nibs but it’s a bit chunky.

Thanks for the review. I just bought the Pro Pen Slim. One major advantage I see is that the slim doesn't roll off [the table] quite easily like the Pro Pen 2, which gets very annoying, as the slim buttons would always face up due to its weight distribution (the other pen is too heavy all around). I like it. :) Wacom should include this pen instead.

I love the normal pen's size. Doesn't make my hand cramp for some reason even after using it for several hours (and I also tend to grip it tightly).

So, to whom way this pen really conceived for? Will it be offered as a choice when someone buys a Wacom Pro? Will Wacom offer a Touch Sensitive pen as the Apple Pen 2 in the near future? That would be nice...

So does the pen work with only Wacom tablets or could it also be a replacement pen for something like the Surface Pro or other touchscreen devices? If not, do you think that it would possibly be allowed in future driver updates?

I use the Wacom Classic pen which I guess is the older version of this, and I really like! Has a different shape than this and feels light. I think it might even be smaller than the Slim. Works on the 13hd, 24hd, Intuos 5 etc (all gen stuff before the new pro one, might work on new stuff, too?)

Yes, it does work on the newer devices too.

The abuse of wacom pen costed me a massive RSI I am still dealing with, years later. Stay thicker guys, do never use a thin device

Hi Brad, how about doing a funny art challenge video once a month, eg: drawing with the small hands/ sketching a cartoon character in 10seconds, 1 mins, and 5 mins (and comparing these), using story cube dices to decide on a random story illustration, putting animal names in a hat and combining three of these into one character, etc/ reviewing history, how about creating a number of videos that you release on important historical days where you retell an important day in history (using clips of black/ white drawings, animation humour, and your own video clips),

God, I want thisssss. One thing I have always hated in the wacom pen is how bulky it is, when the Apple Pencil came out I was hoping they would release something to compete with it.

A couple relatively cheap options are the Simbans Picassotab and the Samsung Galaxy Tab A with S Pen (there's a model with and without the S Pen; the one without isn't much of a good option for drawing). I'm pretty sure the Picassotab is the cheapest option there is.

My biggest issue with Wacom Styluses... styli? Is that after 3-4 months of constant use, the silicone (?) grip at the base of the pen starts losing its texture and gets this oily feel to it. I have largely ruled out the possibility that I'm secretly eating fritos then handling my stylus, and no matter what I use to clean the grip, the greasy feeling returns after a few hours. My conclusion is that the chemicals used to make the grip start degrading over time, and I really wish Wacom would sell replacement grips. I would buy them by the bucket load.

Also, can you review the 2018 iPad Pro 11

Pens could not be made backward compatible, because the tablet firmware needs to "know the pen" and since the pen was made after the tablet it could not... that said, every professional Wacom pen for the last 7+ years will work forward on the new Pro products. Thank you, as always @@thebradcolbow

Yes, I think that's controlled with the tilt so it works the same as the standard Wacom pen.

You can use any pro (black or gray) pen from the last 7 years on the new Cintiqs, but the new Pro Pens (black+silver) only work on the products that they shipped with. It is a technology limitation to make them backward compatible.

For me the Pro Pen 2 is rather slim itself, guess the feeling from this Pro Pen Slim will not be very good. I already get used to thin pens. The pen must be continuation of your hand.
