Sometimes, I guess, people thinks that the like / unlike button on a video review of a product should be used for express an opinion about the product, not about the video... this is the only reason I can think of for justifying the single unlike (or futures) I see now, 'cause this review is really clear and so well explained.

Did you feel comfortable resting the edge of your cintiq on the table like that? Given that it really only locks in the up position (I am assuming the lowest position, the arms rest flat) I am assuming that when you have the tablet angled but resting on the table the tablet is what is giving the support on the table? It looks like the stand allows you to lock the angle of the tablet however? Thanks!

how many inches is the flat part of the ergo stand while sitting on the desk?

My good old Cintiq 24 HD bought in 2013 stopped working and I'm thinking about buying the new 24 PRO, which has the advantage of 4K resolution. However, the two small feet of this new model sucks and the new stand sold separately also seems so. Is it possible to adapt the excellent and firm support of the old 24 HD to the new 24 PRO, has anyone tried this? It would be the ideal solution!

Does someone know where I can find the serialnumber on the Ergo Stand (not on the Package but on the product itself)? Or does it have no serial number?

Right at the beginning of your video the screen is folded into a flat mode, were the screen is parallel with the desk surface. It looks like the screen really elevated above the desk, around 8"/20cm. Did you need to change your seat height when using this mode?

Very good catch! Indeed I had to adjust seating height to allow for a more comfortable working position. However I do have a desk that can adjusted (even to a standing position), so either way works (lowering desk or adjusting chair).

When this Cintiq came out. I thought I would definitely get the ergo stand if I would own this cintiq because it look great and seem to be super sturdy. Now I own this cintiq. I was debating if I should really get this ergo stand. I love how it look and it seems to be the best option with this cintiq. However , I just decided to go with the flex arm after researching n see the pro n cons as much as I could find 😂. I have been watching Robert review for both ergo stand and flex arm for so many times and I can see to maneuver the position with ergo stand seems to be quite some action and effort and Robert seems to be a strong man. Definitely go with the Flex arm. I am currently working with the Ergo Stand and it is sooooo annoying. I need to use my left hand on a keyboard while working because i just can't get the hang of the express key remote (hate that thing), but because the Ergostand only locks in the upright or down position, the Cintiq needs to touch the table (as we can see at 2:53) to be stable. So i can not reach the keyboard to properly work. And as you noted, the handles to adjust the display are really hard to use. I am normally rather strong, but my colleagues do hear me grunt and complain whenever i have to make bigger adjustments.

@@KaySan666 Thank u for the confirmation. From what I can see (if you are a keyboard user, which I am too ), the ergo stand seems to work best if the setup has the keyboard tray underneath the table so they can drop the Cintiq a bit further down from the edge of the table like Adam LucidPixel set up. Or I saw people use books to lift up the Cintiq from the table so they can put the keyboard underneath. I'm waiting for my Flex arm to arrive and my back n neck can't wait for that! I still like the ergo stand very much though lol but It's not optimized for my setup and It will bring another set of problems for me to solve (keyboard, right angle + height, arrange other monitors). I wish I can try adjusting Cintiq with ergo stand. I don't know how heavy and stiff it would be. As far as I know, it doesn't have any mechanism to hold the weight when lift up or down. It's the full weight of cintiq n the legs.

@@minnami778 Yes, same. If i had a bigger desk at work or a smaller screen (large curved LG that my boss had ordered for me before i started working there) then i think i would be able to set it up differently. But as it is, and the way i have to use it, the ergo stand isn't that beneficial for me. We are also looking into getting the base stand on a platform and the keyboard beneath it in a similar setup to LucidPixel. Personally tho..i think the Flex arm might be more useful for me. and yes cintiq with ergo stand is really hard to adjust. the first time i tried it, i thought it wouldn't be able to get adjust the tilt of the display itself, it was that hard and i had to apply that much pressure to just get it to move a bit. in between the up position and the down position of the arms, there is sadly no support from the stand at all. if you don't hold the cintiq while putting it in the "down" position, it can just smash down on your table.

Would the cables not fray with the movement of the stand over time? I have found that Wacom cables are near impossible to replace.

Aside from the power cable, the other two cables are HDMI/DP and USB type 3 and replaceable.

I just assembled the Ergo stand. I wish the instructions had a number assigned to the various screws so it would make it easier for an old guy to put it together. I got it figured out. There is this mysterious large black bolt included but not mentioned on the instructions. Any idea what its for?

hi! using the ergo stand can you rotate the screen vertically? in all the videos I see it just rotate slightly in both directions but not on a full vertical orientation the screen thanks!

I have seen it rotate the full 90 degrees in other videos. As it also does in this video, just in the upright position. I am just trying to figure out if I should sell my left or right kidney 😂

Thank you! You can lock in two positions and yes it will hold of course.

So in the video I noticed that you're holding the sides of the Cintiq while adjusting the angles, but I bought this stand and found that it's not necessary. There are reviews of people saying they broke their Cintiqs from adjusting it the same way it is being adjusted in the video from putting pressure on the sides of their tablets.

What are the dimensions of the base please? I have to see if it fits on my desk. THANK YOU

I went with the ergo arm, it does wobble but only if you really hit it, more than a love tap. Had I went with this stand I would lose a lot of desk space and I have a big desk

Does your ergo arm still wobble? Im planning on getting a 32 cintiq.

B&H has had it as ‘Coming Soon’ on their website for two months. The estimated release date on their site was June 29. Then, about two weeks ago, the date changed to July 2. I checked again today, and now it just says ‘coming soon.’ I have had the 24” Pro since the day it was released here in the states. And I literally have it mounted on my desk on bricks, to elevate it. It’s terrible. And it’s terrible that Wacom would release the 24” Pro without the stand to go with it.

Aaron it comes with two peg legs attached to the unit. So, it is only slightly elevated off a flat desk. I actually put two bricks under each leg to elevate it more. And, unfortunately, the 24” pro is not 3rd party compatible with ergotron arms ... or any others. You buy the stand or you’re out of luck. Supposedly, Wacom is coming out with an arm later in the year. I’lll believe that when i see it.

They have an adapter for the ergotron arm on Amazon... search "Adaptiq VESA Mount Adapter for Wacom Cintiq Pro 24” DTK-2420, DTH-2420" that's what I bought. It's basically a bracket that goes from the standard screw hole configuration to the Cintiq pro 24’s non-standard screw hole configuration. So sorry that you've had to suffer..

It's I-75 I got mine delivered today from B&H!!!! I’m so happy . Love it.

I just got this stand, and while its a solid product, I'm really disappointed that there's ONLY 2 locks for the angle. For many artists, using the keyboard is more convenient than using the remote control. But to do that you need the tablet to be a bit above table, to have room for the keyboard and your hand underneath. If the lock could have multiple steps (or preferably being completely without steps) it would have been perfect. I would say the stand I had for my 22HD was a much simpler design which still behaved smarter and gave you complete freedom to angle it as you like.

@@barryjones6479 Luckily it has a metal ring where you scrw it in, so if you have a small square object in the size you need to raise it to slide the keyboard underneath you do get around it. Personally I like drawing with the screen tilted quite a lot up (like 60 degrees or so", and I have placed a small book underneath to lift it. I rarely have the need to to change its position once I found the angle I like. But yeah, the stand is in no way ergonomic, it just lets you raise it more than the feets that are built in. You should check out xoot.me - If that product would be available now, I wouldn't have thought twice about replacing my ergo stand.

This is a really important comment, I've been waiting for months for my stand and only just now discovered that it only locks at 2 angles. THAT SUCKS. I'm honestly debating saving the $700 and getting a different option. If you could buy a different stand which would you consider? I mean the ergo arm is the only other option for keyboard users... I'm just worried about the weight of the clamp on my desk.

Yes, with a different mount to accommodate the wider/larger size. But base, design and functionality are the same.

Your keyboard looks like it's off to the side, which is bad ergonomics. And where is the mouse and your main PC monitor? I want to know how well this stand integrates into a full production environment, not just van empty desk.

He might not use a mouse at all AND when he is mentioning "Cintiq Pro Engine". He is revering to the CPU which is the module that slides into the back of the display. If you look at the top of the tablet in the back and see the holed are which is for heat dissension, that is the computer!

Remember the good ol days when it came with a stand and was vesa mount compatible. Now its almost like Nike selling sneakers with laces being an additional purchase. Next, the pen will be additional with a standard pen without pressure coming with the cintiq. Still overpriced and now others have entered the market and are very good. I have an XP-Pen Artist 24, its great and became my primary screen just for the attached stand and the buttons on the screen. Thats all it takes, a good User experience. Now I have a cintiq and a flex arm in the closet.

Several people use this stand at my office. Most of them stuff a box under it to hold it up at the height they like to work at. It’s because it only locks at a few angles. Bad engineering and over priced for what it is.

These stands are absolutely awful in my opinion, I use a Cintiq every day, and I 100% regretted buying the wacom stand almost immediately, and sold it very shortly after and went back to my 'Ergotron Arm' which gives you complete control to position in any angle or position you like, i found the Wacom stand to be very limiting in its position and awkward to move on the desk, particularly if you require keyboard while you work on it.

Switched the ergo stand (cintiq 27 qhd) for an arm, because it was hell of a bulky brick. And also very expensive. Cannot recommend.

Do not buy this! I am using Cintiq pro 24 , up to 12-14 hours daily. I bought a stand for home and some moths later I got a Flex arm at job ... The Flex arm is better in any way one can possible imagine. Yes it has a bit of movement but is minuscule and only if you really push the screen extremely hard!!!!!! Instead it has any possible advantage over the stand : _It has limitless adjustment positions , can by used in tight spaces, _is lighter, cheaper, easy to maintain, etc, etc !!! Please don't do the same mistake I did when I bought the stand which is stiff , it has only one !!! vertical adjustment position ( which is ridiculous and totally annoying ), is extremely heavy, it was more expensive .Is virtually impossible to move , because of the ridiculous weight and it require a very sturdy desk. In a nutshell, the stand is a fail product which I unfortunately bought because of all the reviews on youtube ,advising to buy the sturdy one .😡

this stand is kind of useless if you have a full size keyboard in front. Meh
