Love your coffee, love real coffee, love this machine. I am impressed with the pods attachment as a convenience & the selection choices of Nestles coffee styles. Coffee just like you make for yourself at home can go with you in the bush, down at your favourite fishing spot, out bird watching or anywhere. No excuse for not having a good coffee brew.

Putting the ground coffee in the basket can be done much easier. The scoop and basket fit together. So if you have full scoop (wich is also the perfect amount of coffee for the Nanopresso), place the basket upside-down over the scoop. Turn the scoop/basket over and your coffee gets in the basket without spilling it. And as demonstrated, use the scoop as a tamper (Wacaco advises to tamper the coffee that hard you would have it about 4 mm under the top). I'm having a Nanopresso myself, it is a great machine. The coffee won't be as good as the coffee you can make at home but it is a a lot better than carry a flask of coffee with you all day. At many daytrips, friends told me I'm a bit of a spoiled kid because I'm taking this equipment with me. After they've had a coffee out of it, most starts asking how to get one themselves... Did a quick look around at your website, good looking store you have. Would love to visit you guys. But I'm a bit far off. All the best from The Netherlands!

Thanks for your advice on the scoop and basket, Gilles, this is something we overlooked. I'm all for good coffee, and I'd rather drink no coffee than instant, so I don't think you are spoiled, you just have fine taste. Thanks for the compliment about our store, maybe if you are ever in Aus you can call in and say Hi. ~ Ben

Here's an even easier method than that. You don't need the scoop at all. Just take the coffee basket and scoop it into your ground beans. Couldn't be easier. Then you don't need to carry the scoop around with you, one less little piece.

I’m still trying to make good coffee from this machine. I feel that sometimes the pressure is too much and have been trying to adjust my coffee grind and tamping. Overall I’m finding the coffee weak and have got the barista kit to make double shots but it’s still not right. Do you have any suggestions or know of other KZreadrs so I can learn more?

It seems to be abit hit and miss @4x3therapy, most people love it but some people just cant get it to work for them. Wacaco recommend a fine grind and hard tamper, there is supposed to be alot of pressure - 261 PSI which is basically 8 times an average car tyre - and you will need to put abit of effort into pumping it through. ~ Lauren

Something a lot of people overlook is using a good quality bean - freshly roasted and freshly ground to an espresso machine grind level. Slow pumping of the piston - about 1 second per pump. Once you get the beautiful pressurized extraction coming out, keep an even rhythm on pumping the piston and you get an excellent shot with perfect crema. The hard, compacted/pressurized puck of coffee that is left shows how much pressure this amazing little gadget has. A gentle touch is needed, the right bean and grind, and a hard tamp. Great coffee is an art, this machine is perfectly suited to the art, you just need to learn it's language !

Quality is the same, which is best depends on personal preference. depends on how versatile you want your coffee maker to be. The Minipresso is a straight forward espresso maker whereas the Nanopresso is more modular and offers extras albeit at a larger packed size and weight. ~ Ben
