Waarom sloot Griekenland zich NIET aan bij Duitsland tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog?
Op 6 april 1941 begon de Duitse inval in Griekenland. In januari was de Griekse dictator Ioannis Metaxas overleden. Metaxas had het Regime van 4 augustus ingesteld en in de daaropvolgende jaren stichtte hij een totalitaire Griekse staat, later de 'Derde Beschaving' genoemd. Maar hoewel hij zich liet inspireren door Mussolini en Hitler, kan hij niet als een pure fascist worden beschouwd. Toch kun je jezelf afvragen: waarom sloot Griekenland zich niet aan bij de Asmogendheden?

Tussen 1967 en 1974 waren in Hellas de griekse kolonels aan het bewind: Patakos, Papadopoulos, Mekarezos en Zoitakis.

Dankjewel voor zulke videos! Alles klopt ook en ik respecteer de tijd die hierin word gestoken. Is de kwestie Epirus niet interessant aangezien Griekenland tot 3 keer toe Noord-Epirus nu zuid Albanie heeft terugveroverd. Het speelt zelfs vandaag met de Griekse burgermeester die vastzit daar.

its weird to think but were kingdoms in early history not super nationalist. i mean by that they would not allow other culture or ethnicities to settle on their lands depending on the neighbours of course like the balkan wars against the ottomans
