These Master’s track videos are fantastic. A lot of people not afraid of competing at any age!

The winner would have gotten 6th place in the MEN'S race for Masters Age 50 for the 400. That's AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I didn't even know there is a global competition like this. My respect to all these athletes

Im not a sprinter however looked like she started to slow up at the end So close to sub 60 Im 53 years old and im around 75 seconds These ladies are amazing

They had been pro or elite athletes in the past for sure...amazing anyway. Is mrs Cayton +50..? Really? OMG...

Congrats to these Master's Track Athletes. Thank you for the coverage. Age happens it is better to age gracefully like this group.

Love this love this love this. Congrats to all the competitors. I’m 44 and will be competing in the 100 and possibly 200 meter. Training really hard as well.

They all had a great race. Bravo!!

You can tell these ladies have taken care of themselves. No drinking or smoking. They all look so healthy.

You dont know if they drink and smoke or not but, one thing for sure they have stayed in shape

this is amazing and a pleasure to watch!!! I wish there were more races like this. I can only hope that in some decades I can be like them.

Yeah, it's nutty. But I suppose it doesn't matter as much when you're one of the finest athletes in the world!

Amazing run to clock 60 secs for 50+ women. They are an inspiration to senior folks.

OH WOW 😃, THOSE MATURE SPORTY PENSIONERS WERE SO CUTE 💙💚❤. WHAT AN AMAZING ACHIEVEMENT 👍, I'M AN OVERWEIGHT 59yr OLD GUY & I DON'T THINK EVEN I COULD RUN 400 METERS 🙂.

I probably have more body fat on my left ass cheek than was present on that track. Those ladies looked fit.

"Women we hope to get close to" made mention here takes me back to when I was fellowshipping with Holy Mary the Queen of earth and heaven when I was in 2nd grade. This pertaining to the knowledge of things. With this being comment 73 it's prophetic for Isaiah 7:3 and the day I was born 7-3-76. Because they are worn out and they already proved themselfs with their best times i think that just watching yourself get slower times would discourage as the years went on even if you were still fast

So many reasons the motivation has to come from the enjoyment as there is not big real support for masters by federations (esspecially in UK) so you can guarantee these athletes love activity, fitness and their sport. Motivation has to be an issue for any, having support teams, travel and finance sorted for you your whole career then having to do it all yourself would be shock to some plus it may not ever compare to running with the eyes of the world and packed stadium on you. You have to want compete for the sake of it and win for sake of winning and that's different to seeing as your job.

You know, after you retire you probably don't want to do what you've been doing all your life. When professionals retire, it's so because they want to focus on career and family, not to perform on the trwck again - only this time with no money nor fame. You can just never retire, it happens sometimes. You will not be barred from performing simply if you are past 35. But the Masters' sport is underfunded and not quite as famous, so what would be the point?

I'm 50 and this makes me realize how pathetic I am.
