@@AKTuning-rf3sg Is this true that even if my steering wheels look the same model as yours there will be an issue swapping from 2011 W251 R350 to the newer 2015 W164 GL? I am having issues with the electronic plate not fitting flushed into the plastic holder of the new one. Was it just the electronic plate you moved over from your old to new or I need to move the mounting place or plastic holder as well? Or the W164 is not a match and it’s totally not going to work?

nice video.....can you please show how you can transfer the function of the buttons from the w218 2014 to the 2018 steering wheel so that it works there.

I have the same original steering wheel only the 3 spoke version. It does not come with the plate mounted to the steering wheel. But i can see the brown connector attached to the airbag. Can i remove the chip from the airbag, or is it a different shape?

3 spoke version steering wheel is older version its totally different system. In that case you need to change kolumn.

Hello, what about the ones with paddle shifts? Can you mount that on a manual?

Hi, steering wheel can have padle shifts on manual, but it not work. Padle shift work only with automatic gear box. B.R.

hej, you need to use not new chip , but from original steering wheel. . 99 % have to go in plastic holder, if ir not c63.

@@AKTuning-rf3sg This seems like the same problem I am having. Chip from the old one is not a perfect match to the new steering’s holder plate. Doesn’t sit flush to close it over the cup flush with the plastic cover…some cutting seems necessary and steel seems like I’ll be loosing the horn. Shifting the cip from a 2011 W251 R350 Us Model into a 2015 W164 GL euro model steering. They both came with the paddle shifting. You mention in another comment W164 is something different. Is this what I am encountering here or I need to move something else from the W251 steering to the W164…? Both steerings look exactly as yours!
