I'm a french judoka and I am so ashamed concerning the way Khyar builds his judo;He hasn't got the judo spirit. I don't understand all those french supporters shouting to injustice whereas Khyar is playing non productive judo all the way...stop blind chauvinism.

@ukere2211 Maruyama dropped to his knees or did fake attacks whenever he was outgripped. It's tough to throw someone that does that whenever you dominate the kumi-kata. Furthermore, Khyar's favorite throws are close contact (like ura nage), that's why he needed to breach the distance with Maruyama before orbiting him. I don't see how you can call that "non productive judo"...

@@fortuna9074 Sorry, but I agree with the first comment. He didn't performed false attack but unsuccessfull attacks. But I recognize the French audience: when I attended, around 20 years ago, the Paris Grand Slam, I saw French people booing Inoue defending against Traineau. But when Inoue won, they cheered for him loudly. Anyway, you can discuss the way Khyar fighted, but his attitude toward referees, making gestures etc. is not Judo.

⁠​⁠@@Vaitamanu Maruyama attacks at 8:02 and 8:15 are “unsuccessful” attacks? They are blatant false attacks, no kuzushi, no grip… He did that to reset the match because Khyar had dominant grip. Regarding Khyar’s attitude, I do agree that he allowed his frustration to take the best of him. That being said, he didn’t insult Maruyama or the referee either… This kind of things can happen in the heat of the moment, even if it’s not a good look for him.

French player clearly tryed to win by shido the whole contest. Props to Maruyama for winning like a man.

I don't understand the attitude of the French judoka, he is very aggressive! He must have forgotten that judo is above all about respect for your opponent. It looks like he wants to fight! It's sad to see this and the public who supports it. My total respect for Marumaya Joshiro🙏

He's arab not french. That's why he's so aggressive and dishonorable like all arabs.

Maruyama was very smart in this game. When he was out of the mat, all time had reasons (pushed by opponent, as a result of attack). Smart strong and flexible. He is the Judo.

French player has no technique, just brute force. Just trying to win by shido rather than using any skills. He did seem to have perfected the pikachu surprised hand and arm waving 'I cant believe it!' technique. Gorgeous throw by Maruyama.

Instead of running at and throwing himself, then complaining his opponent isn't getting a third shido, perhaps the French judoka should have tried applying some kind of actual technique, or even continue in newaza, as he had many chances to do. I don't think any judoka should be happy with a win by shidos, much less actively try to get it.

It makes me feel ashamed to see how French fans are, they shout and complain as if it were football, compare it to the ethics of the Japanese.

The French player is a embarrassment for judo no skill brute force and trying to win by shido, Maruyama dealt well with him

Le judoka Français par son attitude, ne représente pas le judo, c’est du rentre dedans sans aucune volonté de mettre en œuvre une stratégie de combat. Félicitations au judoka Japonais qui a gagné son combat en maîtrisant l’agitation excessive de Français , la patience du Japonais lui a permis de mettre en place un judo technique et engagé sans agressivité.👏👏👏

The French supports were extremely annoying during this match😩😩 Maruyama did a great job with respect unlike the Frenchman

Bon, le public, ça n'est pas le plus grave. D'ailleurs, le tournoi de Paris est quand même plaisant pour ça, ça change des salles vides avec un public d'équipiers ou d'officiels obligés.

Excellent travail du juge. En France, avec un public scandaleusement partisan et ne voyant pas que le judo ne consiste pas à pousser un adversaire hors d'un tapis, il a réussi à garder l'esprit serein. Il a calmé le coach français et a réussi à obliger le français à tenir les prises. A partir de là, il n'y avait plus d'histoire. Je seul judoka présent su la tatami a gagné.

What a drama queen...

Frenchman should scrap his judo-gi forever and change his attire to sumo LOINCLOTH...... LOL. That way the French spectators that boos will realize he is doing sumo on the square judo mat. So obvious he is doing sumo, no doubt. Frenchman's palms up looking at the judges, "how come no hansoku-make?". Yeah, right! Judges replies, "this is judo not sumo!!!".

I dont agree with all of you, maybe Khyar has some issues with behaviour, but Maruyama should lose thhat fight, watch gain when complaining started, 2 times Maruyama is defending without hands...uchi mata without hands thats not a tehnique..and Khyar actually had good try after that...he is agressive but there is no rule against that, he fight with his style...every time Khyar tried to put hand on Maruyamas back that happend, running away and bad tehcniques without hands.

Je ne jugerais pas le fait que le japonais aurait dû avoir ou non une pénalité supplémentaire contre lui (j'ai mon idée là-dessus, et en tout cas je ne trouve pas correct de s'adresser sans cesse aux arbitres), mais il me semble que faire tomber quelqu'un, c'est un peu l'idée en Judo.

I disagree, i see a french player fighting against a world champion and not being ridiculous, even being dangerous, of course he has to play smart, his chances to win are low, and yep he could have won (he actualy attacked and made his opponent step out of the tatami, thats a shido), a great fight, smart and tactical, idk why people hate on him so much...

Khyar a lancé ZERO attaque du combat. LA 3e pena aurait clairement du arrivé pour non combativité. Pour les sortie, on est clairement sur du pushing, ce qui mènerais a un dernier shido pour khyar, et je ne parle pas de l'attitude.... Le chauvinisme est uine chose, mais il faut au moins avoir un minimum d'honeteté intellectuelle. Le vainqueur est celui qui a fait du judo....

@@jonathandesalle5784 C'est n'importe quoi, comment Khyar peut-il lancer une attaque si à chaque fois qu'il domine le kumi-kata Maruyama se jette à genoux ou lance une fausse attaque? Malgré ça, Khyar a lancé deux uchimata (un qui a failli fonctionner) + ashi waza + un ura nage + une tentative de ne waza. L'honnêteté intellectuelle serait de le dire plutôt que de raconter que "Khyar a lancé ZERO attaque du combat".
